Akhil Bansal is Head of Asset-Backed Finance for Carlyle Global Credit. Carlyle Asset-Backed Finance seeks to invest across the risk-return spectrum of private credit financings backed by diversified portfolios of credit assets as well as private high grade corporate financings. Mr. Bansal is also Co-Portfolio Manager for Carlyle’s Revolving Loan strategy, which seeks to invest in senior secured revolving credit facilities. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Nuzum worked in a variety of leadership roles at Mercer, including serving as Global Chief Investment Officer for seven years, and leading the Investments & Retirement business as President and Global Business Leader for five years.

During his career, Mr. Nuzum has provided investment advice and solutions to clients in more than 20 countries, including many of the world’s largest institutional investors. He has also led social security and other long-term savings reform projects in five countries and one US state.
