Masatoshi Akimoto is the Member of the House of Representatives belonging to the Liberal Democratic Party (elected four times). He served as Parliamentary Secretary for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. He is currently serving as Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs and is the Secretary General of the Diet Members Caucus for the Promotion and Expansion of Renewable Energy from November 2017 to present. He is working to promote and expand renewable energy as his life’s work. He is responsible for climate change at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
