Masatoshi Akimoto a Member of the House of Representatives belonging to the Liberal Democratic Party. Previously serving as Parliamentary Secretary for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. He is currently serving as Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs and is the Secretary General of the Diet Members Caucus for the Promotion and Expansion of Renewable Energy since November 2017. He is working to promote and expand renewable energy as his life’s work. He is responsible for climate change at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
