Jansen Ang is part of Partners Group's Asian Private Infrastructure business unit, based in Singapore, and sits on the Board of Directors of the firm's portfolio company Unity Digital Infrastructure. He has been with Partners Group since 2015 and has 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked in various investment banking roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and ANZ Banking Group and infrastructure investments at Challenger Mitsui Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Since 2020, Hiroto Asakawa is Chief Senior Consultant at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Research Institute where he conducts research and consulting related to PPP and infrastructure investment in Japan. Prior to his current role, he belonged to Mitsui & Co. Ltd since 1997 where he managed various infrastructure fund business and project financing globally. Hiroto currently contributes articles related to investments in smart city, renewable energy and battery energy storage. He earned MBA (Finance) from Waseda University and Master of Science in Development Finance from University of London (SOAS).

Marcus Ayre is a Partner in the Infrastructure Investments team based in London, and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III and GDIF Investment Committees. Prior to joining the team in 2007, Marcus spent 10 years in European investment banking at Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Barings. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Birmingham and is a qualified barrister.

Serkan Bahceci is Partner and Head of Research at Arjun Infrastructure Partners. Previously, Serkan was Head of Research at J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Infrastructure Investment Group, Consultant and Chief Economist for London Economics International LLC in Boston and a faculty member at the Department of Economics and the International Business School of Brandeis University. Serkan is also a professional shepherd, beekeeper, backgammon player. Serkan holds a PhD in Economics from Brown University.

Joost Bergsma founded Glennmont Partners in 2008. As CEO of Glennmont Partners, he has grown the company into one of Europe's largest clean energy investment platforms, raising over €4.7 billion from blue chip investors through infrastructure equity and debt products.

Under his leadership, Glennmont has invested in major renewable energy projects across Europe, including offshore wind, solar, onshore wind and bioenergy. Joost leads the corporate strategy of Glennmont which became part of Nuveen in 2021 and he sits on the Board of some of Glennmont’s larger investments.

With over 25 years of experience in utility banking and fund management, Joost has devised and implemented asset and exit strategies, raising in excess of €10 billion of sales proceeds for energy clients.

Previously, Joost worked at SG Warburg & Co., ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas. He has read law at Leiden University (the Netherlands) and has an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Michael founded NextEnergy Group in 2006. He has over 30 years of experience in the European Power and Energy sector, Banking and Finance industries.

Alex joined Octopus in 2015 to help develop our energy strategy, originate and structure investments in new areas and to widen our investor relationships. Alex manages Octopus Energy Generation’s private institutional funds which serve a number of large pension and insurance company investors.

Prior to joining Octopus, Alex was Director in the Energy and Environmental Infrastructure team at EY LLP where he provided a wide range of corporate and project finance services to leading players in the Renewable Energy industry. Alex is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, qualifying in 2003.

Christoph brings extensive international experience in infrastructure management from various landmark brownfield and greenfield transactions across the transportation, energy, digital and social infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining us in 2019, Christoph worked at InfraVia Capital Partners. Previously, he spent more than 22 years at HSBC investment bank in different positions leading origination, structuring and execution on infrastructure, capital markets, complex restructurings and structured finance, based in Paris, New-York and Tokyo. In his last position at HSBC, Christoph was leading financial advisory origination, as well as structuring and negotiation on mid-market and large European infrastructure M&A, debt advisory and financing transactions.

Cyril Cabanes is Managing Director, Infrastructure, Asia Pacific at CDPQ, based in Singapore. In his role, he is responsible for all infrastructure
investment activities in the Asia Pacific region, which includes overseeing a team of ca. 25 investment professionals based in Singapore, Sydney and New Delhi and managing a diversified portfolio including ports, tollroads, electricity networks, social infrastructure, public transport, renewables and power generation.

Mr. Cabanes has 25 years of experience in global infrastructure. Before joining CDPQ, he was Senior Vice-President, Development at Marubeni Corp., focusing on Asian IPP investments out of Singapore. Previously, he was Director and Portfolio Manager at Deutsche Asset Management’s DWS (formerly known as RREEF Infrastructure) in Sydney, where he was responsible for acquisitions, asset management, capital raising and product development for Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he spent 10 years in investment banking and financial markets with RBS (where he was Head of Natural Resources, Power & Utilities for Australia and New Zealand), BNP Paribas and UBS.

Mr. Cabanes graduated with a Masters degree from ESCP Business School in Paris and attended the MBA programme at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the World Bank’s Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF). He is a non-executive director of Azure Power, Apraava Energy (formerly CLP India), Maple Highways, Greater Changhua 1 and is the chairman of Mercury Taiwan Holdings.

Adam Choi is an Executive Director at Alternative Investment Division at PineStreet. Prior to PineStreet, Mr. Choi was a portfolio manager for Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance’s Alternative Investment Division where he was responsible for more than 20 infrastructure project and fund investments both domestic and overseas. Prior to that, Mr. Choi was a global infrastructure project developer at Daewoo Engineering & Construction. He graduated from Hongik University with a BA degree in Civil Engineering and received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a CFA charter holder.

Jay Choi is a director and a head of the alternative investment team and the infrastructure team at IGIS Asset Management. Mr. Choi joined the firm in 2021 from KB Kookmin Bank’s Investment Banking department where he held a position from 2018 to 2021. Prior to KB Kookmin Bank, he worked approximately for 11 years at Korea Investment Management’s real asset management division.

David joined IFM in 2012 from Barclays, where he was Head of Infrastructure and Structured Project Finance within their Corporate Bank. Mark is not a typical investment manager. His career spans finance, law and science. Before joining UBS, Mark spent 10 years as a lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Australia, where he advised government, natural resources and infrastructure clients on environment and planning law, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Before practising law, Mark was an engineering geologist for six years at environmental consultancies Groundwater Technology and ERM where he undertook environmental impact assessments, developed water supply and wastewater disposal projects, remediated contaminated land and groundwater and advised on the design of mines, ports, motorways and other infrastructure projects.

Mark has over 30 years’ experience in the infrastructure and resources sectors.

Mark holds a Master of Laws majoring in corporate finance and securities law from University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of Technology Sydney, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from University of New South Wales.

Ryan is a Senior Manager in the Infrastructure Investment Division at National Agricultural Cooperative Federation. Mr. Ha has over 16 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector as LP, GP, lender, and strategic investor. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ha was a Senior Investment Manager at IMM Investment Corp, where he focused on buy-out & significant minority equity investments in waste management and transportation sectors. Mr. Ha was also at Samsung C&T and BNP Paribas Fortis focusing on project development & financing. Mr. Ha graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A in finance and mathematics.

Yuriy Humber is founder of the Japan NRG platform, which provides regular information and analysis about the Japanese energy and power industry, markets. He is also a columnist on energy issues for the “Nikkei Asia” and co-author of “Net Zero Sum”, a white paper published by CLSA brokerage on Japanese energy policies. Formerly an award-winning journalist, Yuriy is also President of investment research firm K.K. Yuri Group.

Stephane has been with Antin since the inception of the firm and is a member of the Investment Committee. He is a board member of Fund III portfolio companies CityFibre and IDEX and of Fund IV company Eurofiber. He is a prior board member of Porterbrook, Antin Solar, Pisto, FPS Towers and Andasol 1&2 in Fund I and of Kellas Midstream in Fund II. Stéphane is a former Managing Director of Rothschild Debt Advisory Group. He began his career at Crédit Commercial de France, now part of HSBC group.

Ken Isono is the Representative Director and Co- Founder of Shizen Energy Inc. He currently leads new business development and organizational & cultural development in the Shizen Energy Group. In 2013, he led the establishment of a joint venture with juwi AG in Japan, which was instrumental to the growth of the company, and also accelerated the company’s international business. Prior to founding Shizen Energy, he had worked for a wind energy company and was involved in the project development and O&M of wind farms. He also serves as a board of councilors for the Graduate School of Leadership and Innovation at Shizenkan University. He holds a BA in Environment and Information Studies from Keio University, and a joint MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School.

Ross co-founded QIC’s Infrastructure capability in early 2006. He provides overall leadership to the team, which currently manages 22 direct investments out of offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, New York and London.
As a member of the QIC Infrastructure Investment Committee, Ross has had oversight of all the team’s investments. In addition to his infrastructure responsibilities, Ross is also a member of QIC’s Executive Management Committee.
Ross has more than 30 years’ experience in the field of corporate finance and funds management, with specialist skills in infrastructure, asset management, capital raising and M&A.

Takeshi Ito is the Senior Investment Officer of AISIN Employees' Pension Fund. Ito has been supervising the investment and management of the pension’s funds since 1998 when he joined Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. Ito started his career at Nomura Investment Management Co., Ltd (current Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd) in 1991 as an economist who oversees macro-economic research mainly covering US and Europe. He also oversaw interest, currency exchange and asset allocation. From 1997, he reported directly to the CIO and was responsible for bond and stock markets, asset allocation and risk management. Ito holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Waseda University and is also a CMA, CIIA and CFA.

Sayaka is a General Manager of Five Arrows Managers S.A., Tokyo Branch, the Luxembourg General Partner of Rothschild & Co.’s Merchant Banking funds and the General Manager of Five Arrows Managers’ Tokyo branch. She leads sales and marketing, client servicing, administration and compliance for clients in Tokyo and other Asian countries. Prior to joining Rothschild & Co. in 2022, Sayaka was a Senior Vice President at DBJ Asset Management in the Global Investment Department, where she was responsible for fund allocation and due diligence in respect of global private equity and infrastructure investments. Prior to her fund investment experience, she was involved in direct investments for a government-assisted private equity programme. She started her career as an investment banker in Morgan Stanley’s Tokyo Office. Sayaka received a B.A. from Kyoto University and spent nine years in the UK in her childhood.

Mr. Jang joined the firm in April 2022 as a senior advisor at Yulchon, a major law firm in Korea. Previously, he had senior management oversight of POBA investments as a CIO totaling around US$ 17bn and led the strategic expansion in the overseas investment area given the growing importance of asset size and portfolio diversification. He was responsible for POBA's investment portfolio spanning equity, fixed income, and alternatives. Previously, he was the assistant director of the Financial Supervisory Services (FSS) of Korea. With 34 years of experience in the investment industry managing equity and private equity portfolios, he is an all-rounded investment executive who worked across multiple functions in both the private and the public sectors. He was the CEO of AllianceBernstein Asset Management (Korea) and the CIO of Woori Asset Management. He is a member of various investment advisory committees such as The Government Employees Pension Service, The Police Mutual Aid Association, The Mutual Aid for Small Enterprises & Enterprisers, The National Housing Fund, The Scientists & Engineers Mutual Aid, and The Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. He earned an MBA from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. from Dongguk University.

Wataru Kawabata is a Managing Director of Infrastructure Asset Investment Department at DBJ Asset Management, leading a Japanese infrastructure equity investment team as well as a global infrastructure debt investment team. He has 19 years of infrastructure professional experiences primarily in Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) group since 2009 together with 2 years secondment to ING Bank in Amsterdam where he has been engaged in various project finance and structured finance transactions in multiple sectors on global basis in both equity and debt investments and was also responsible for Equator Principle operations in the bank as Head of Environmental and Social Assessment Office. Mr Kawabata started his career as a consulting engineer in Pacific Consultants where he has advised central/local governments and private companies for various PFI/PPP projects. He holds a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

Daniel Kemp is APAC Editor for PEI Group’s Infrastructure Investor and Agri Investor, overseeing coverage of the Asia-Pacific region for both titles. He joined PEI in February 2018 and is based in Sydney. Daniel is an experienced B2B journalist, working for five years prior to joining PEI as Innovation & Features Editor for Construction News in the UK and was named Feature Writer of the Year at the International Building Press Awards in 2017.

Phil is a Director of Gravis and leads the Gravis Infrastructure team. He will have overall responsibility for the management of the private vehicle, which Gravis is currently pre-marketing, investing in infrastructure that accelerates the transition to net zero. Phil joined Gravis from Foresight Group where he was responsible for investments in the waste and renewable sectors for private vehicles. Phil has been involved in the energy sector for over fifteen years, working initially as a consultant within PA Consulting’s Energy practice, focusing on energy markets and energy asset valuations. In 2008, he moved to Gazprom Marketing and Trading, working in risk management across a number of commodities before moving into the Clean Energy team. Phil graduated with a degree in geography from Oxford University.

Ki Hyun Kim is responsible for infrastructure investing at Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance with a focus on infrastructure strategy. He has a total of 15 years work experience in portfolio management in the insurance industry, with particular contribution in deal origination, strategic investment planning, and execution.
Prior to joining Hyundai, he started his finance career at KB Insurance. For 12 years during this time, he served as an investment manager for listed companies and alternative investments. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Sogang University.

Kwang is a Board Member for the Economics of Mutuality (EOM) Group and a senior advisor for EOM Investment. He specializes in sustainable investments and business strategies and public-private initiatives. Previously, Kwang was the regional lead for International Finance Corporation in its Sustainable Business Advisory Services in Latin America, and a private sector development expert for the World Bank Group where he advised the governments of Panama on Public-Private Partnerships and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on economic diversification strategies. He started his career as a management consultant with Monitor Group (now Deloitte) in Cambridge, Massachusetts and São Paulo, Brazil. Kwang is an advisor to Conservatorio Urban Innovation and co-author of an Oxford University case study on urban revitalization. He taught at Georgetown University in Washington DC and Hanyang University School of Business in Seoul.

As General Manager of the Structured Finance Department in Development Bank of Japan Inc., Takeo Kitamura leads the department, engaged in infrastructure financing both in Japanese and international markets. He joined DBJ in 1999. Prior to his assignment in the DBJ’s SFD, he was responsible for the infrastructure investment activities in European region as Head of Corporate and Structured Finance of DBJ Europe Limited, DBJ’s European arm in London. Throughout his career in DBJ, he had been engaged in such areas as project finance, leveraged buyout and corporate turnaround in energy and transportation sectors. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (with High Honors) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Hitotsubashi University.

Ethan Koh holds the position of Global Head of Research Operations at PEI Group, where he assumes responsibility for overseeing data quality and research operations worldwide. In this capacity, he manages relationships with external parties to enhance the efficiency of research operations and regularly presents PEI data at global events.

Over the past decade, Ethan held managerial positions in Singapore and Hong Kong, delivering strategic value to corporate decision-makers and global institutional clients. Prior to joining PEI Group, he was the Asia Research Director at the Global Private Capital Association, the Senior Manager at Real Capital Analytics, and the Senior Investment Writer for Partners Group.

Richard leads business development/client relationship for Macquarie Capital’s private capital market in Korea by connecting Korean capital and corporates to Macquarie’s expertise and deal flow in infrastructure in global market. He has 20+ years’ experience in alternative investments as an investor and an advisor. Prior to Macquarie, he worked at KB Securities and Mirae Asset Securities investing and syndicating oversea infrastructure debt and equity projects. He also spent 11 years at National Pension Service of Korea, the 3rd largest pension fund in the world with over USD 800bn AUM and was the head of oversea infrastructure. In that role, he led growth and diversification of NPS’ infrastructure portfolio by doing active co-investments and setting up separately managed funds with customized strategies. He started his career at financial advisory service of Samil PwC. He graduated from Seoul National University and earned a Master’s in Finance from London Business School.

Takako Koizumi is an Executive Director and Head of Infrastructure & Real Estate Investment at Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments, with over 20 years of experience in alternative assets. She started her career at Citibank in banking and M&A, after which she shifted directions to the real estate industry -advisory, acquisition, securitization, lending service, etc. – at CBRE, GE Capital, and Citibank. She joined Resona Bank in 2009 and became a gatekeeper for alternative investments for Japanese institutional investors. More recently, she was at Tokio Marine Asset Management where she built out and expanded their infrastructure business. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Aoyama Gakuin University and is a Certified Real Estate Appraiser.

Andrew Kwok is Head of Private Infrastructure in Asia, based in Singapore, and sits on the Private Infrastructure Investment Committee and the Board of Directors of the firm's portfolio company Green Island Renewable Power and Unity Digital Infrastructure. He has 25 years of industry experience and, prior to joining Partners Group, worked as a Director in Challenger Limited's fund division, in Westpac Institutional Bank's infrastructure and PPP fund practice and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Sydney, Australia and is a Chartered Accountant in Australia.

Scott is a founding Partner of Glennmont Partners.  He leads all of the firm’s solar initiatives and is actively involved in new financing initiatives. Scott has worked in renewable energy power generation for more than a decade, leading many of the investments across Glennmont’s fund platform. Prior to founding Glennmont Partners, Scott was the co-founder and director of Windsor Alternative Investments: a company formed to finance and develop solar power plants in Europe. Before focusing on renewable energy, Scott was involved in private equity acquisitions and debt capital finance for commercial real estate transactions in Europe and the United States.

David Guhn-Chang Lee is the Head of Alternative Investment Management Dep. Team1 at Korea Investment & Securities Co. (“KIS”), where he is responsible for managing in-house capital, pension books, and corporate notes in the Asset Management Group. Before heading the department, he led the Infrastructure Finance Team in the Project Financing Group at KIS.
Mr. Lee started his career at PwC Korea as a financial advisor, providing feasibility studies on cross-border transactions, which included both infrastructure and real estate assets. He then joined Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management Co. as an Investment Portfolio Manager, managing equity project funds and blind funds covering energy and infrastructure assets. He graduated from Hanyang University College of Engineering with a BA degree in Urban Planning.

Jungbin Lee is an Executive Director at Mirae Asset Global Investments (“MAGI”) where he serves as Head of Global Infrastructure Investment Division. Since 2020, Jungbin has led MAGI’s infrastructure investments across developed countries in Europe, the US, and Australia. The infrastructure investment division has expanded its overseas exposure since 2009 with the first equity commitment to a desalination plant in Victoria, Australia. It has invested over U$3bn in various PPP, renewables and regulated assets across the US, the UK, Australia and other selected OECD countries. Before joining MAGI, Jungbin was a Vice President at Pantheon within the Investor Relations team. Prior to Pantheon, Jungbin held various senior positions for project finance and international corporate finance team at KB Kookmin Bank based in Seoul and Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Seoul National University.

Vincent founded InfraVia Capital Partners in 2008 and has been the driving force behind the successful development of the firm.

Since 2008, InfraVia has invested in over 50 companies across 13 European countries in the transportation, energy, telecom, social infrastructure and tech sectors. As CIO, Vincent is highly involved throughout the investment process from origination to exit and is also board member of a number of InfraVia’s portfolio companies.

With more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure investment, strategic planning and business management, Vincent has been a pioneer of the European infrastructure market.

He began his career in 1991 at CVA (Corporate Value Associates), a management consulting firm specialized in value analysis, where he became Partner in 1999. In 2004, he joined AXA Investment Managers where he focused on the establishment, development and management of AXA’s infrastructure investment practice.

Vincent is on the board of France Invest where he is president of the Infrastructure commission and he is President of the LTIIA (Long Term Infrastructure Investors Association).

Vincent graduated in Engineering from École Polytechnique (X86) and in Economics from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE).

Jungmin Lim has spent 10 years at NH Investment & Securities and is currently focusing on underwriting, execution and structuring social infrastructure and energy projects in the Investment Banking Division. Prior to her current position, while working as a credit analyst, she was selected as the best analyst and received an award from Bank of Korea and KOFIA (Korea Financial Investment Association). Currently, she also serves as an outside member of the Investment Committee for several Korean financial institutions. Before joining NH I&S, Ms.Lim worked at NH-Amundi Asset Management, BNP Paribas, Citibank and Samsung Securities. Ms.Lim holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York and a B.S from Yonsei University.

Sam Lissner is a Principal of Ridgewood Infrastructure. He has more than a decade of infrastructure investing experience in sectors including water, power, renewables and energy. Prior to joining Ridgewood, Sam focused on investments in solar, and distributed power at Kohl Partners. During his master’s studies, Sam worked on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Mobile Sources Team and in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration. Sam received his A.B. from Harvard University, where he concentrated on the Middle Eastern Studies. He earned an M.S. from New York University focused on energy and environmental policy, and he received an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Sam is a member of the Board of Advisors of NYU’s Center for Global Affairs.

Morimasa Matsuda is a president & CEO of Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co. Ltd (DEI), a subsidiary of Daiwa Securities Group Inc., one of the leading comprehensive financial service firms in Japan. DEI is an investment firm focusing on renewable energy and infrastructure, established in Oct. 2018. Since then DEI rapidly accumulated its invested assets to about $1.4BN as of Mar. 2023. Before becoming a president of DEI in Apr.2019, Morimasa was a member of the Board and a member of the Audit Committee of Daiwa Securities Group Inc. Morimasa joined Daiwa Securities in 1989 and during his more than 30 years career in Daiwa, he spent about 11 years in Principal Investment and another 8 years in IR & Audit, both help current role.

Hiroshi Matsui is General Manager of the Alternative Funds Investment Department at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. He joined Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank in 1989, and since 2005, responsible for managing and acting as “Gatekeeper” of infrastructure investments for its pension fund clients. He has more than 30 years of investing management experience through various departments , including Japanese Equities, Pension Investment and Investment Planning etc. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Kwansei Gakuin University.

Nori is AirTrunk’s Head of Japan and oversees Japan business and expansion plans, as well as the company’s local partnerships. Nori joined AirTrunk from Mapletree Japan and held leadership positions in real estate development and investment at PwC, Deutsche Bank and GE Capital.

Kanna leads business development and stakeholder relationships for Macquarie’s principal investment and advisory business in Japan. Her most recent experiences include origination of partnerships and projects in offshore wind, solar and data centre sector in Japan and successful formation of a partnership with JERA on Formosa 1, 2 and 3 offshore wind projects in Taiwan.

Since joining Macquarie in 2013, she has developed an extensive network of relationships with Japanese corporates including major utilities, trading houses, oil & gas and industrial companies. She also set up government relations function for Macquarie’s business in Japan, and has been making a variety of policy proposals to the Japanese government. She takes active leadership roles in bodies such as Japan Wind Power Association and Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

Before joining Macquarie, Kanna engaged in commercial lending for non-EU EMEA companies in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s EMEA headquarter in London for 5 years. Kanna started her career as a business consultant at BearingPoint (currently PwC) where she worked on various business process optimisation projects for Japanese companies.

Niall Mills is the Managing Partner and the Global Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. He is a member of the EDIF I, II & III and GDIF Investment Committees. Niall is also a member of the executive leadership team of First Sentier Investors, Igneo’s parent company. Niall currently sits on the board of investee company Anglian Water Group. Prior to joining the team in 2008, Niall worked in industry holding senior roles at Southern Water, Honeywell, Bechtel and United Utilities. Niall holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, an Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Directorship and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Akihito Nagata is General Manager, Alternative & Fund Investment Department, Nissay Asset Management Corporation. Mr Nagata joined Nissay Asset in 2016 where he is responsible for co-investment programmes and fund investments in infrastructure assets for third party clients. Prior to the current position, Mr Nagata spent 20 years at Japan’s government institutions including Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), where he worked on sovereign-based concessional lending to emerging countries as well as project finance in private infrastructure projects. He holds an LLB from the University of Tokyo and an MSc in International Business from Lancaster University.

Elie Nammar is a Senior Director and Partner at Vauban Infrastructure Partners. His most recent experiences prior to joining Vauban IP, include Oliver Wyman in their Paris offices as a senior member of the Telecom Media and Technology practice and as a strategist for the Vodafone Group. Throughout his experiences, Elie developed an acute understanding of the European infrastructure market, its dynamics, and players and has been part of different infrastructure deals where he worked with numerous players defining their growth strategies and optimizing their spend. Since joining Vauban, Elie has led different processes including most recently the Bluevia deal with Telefonica.
Elie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters of Engineering from Telecom Paris and a Masters in Digital Business Strategy from HEC Paris.

Jerome Neyroud has 25 years of experience in infrastructure debt.

He joined Schroders Capital as Head of Infrastructure Debt in 2015. He is responsible for Schroders infrastructure debt investments and manages a team of 12 portfolio managers and analysts.

Jerome was a Senior Fund Manager, Infrastructure Debt at AXA IM from 2012 to 2015. Prior to this, he worked as an infrastructure banker.

Kazuo Nishimura is Director of Tasku Advisors, advisory/investment firm to serve institutional investors, also advising Hachijuni Bank on its alternative investments. Prior to those, he spent more than 20 years for Nomura Group’s private asset gatekeeper business and 12 years for Fuji Bank. He graduated from University of Tokyo with B.E. in applied physics and holds MBA from the University of Chicago.

Keisuke Okano is in charge of Infrastructure investments at ORIX Life Insurance Corporation. Since joining ORIX Life in 2019, he has led the growth of the infrastructure portfolio. In prior role, he was in Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) for 8 years where he took various role there, including he served as portfolio manager for Infrastructure investments from the time when GPIF starts alternative investment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Waseda University.

Yasuhiro Ono is a Director with Stonepeak. Before joining Stonepeak, Yasuhiro was Head of Infrastructure Investments at Japan Post Bank where he helped establish the infrastructure program and was responsible for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure portfolio of fund investments, co-investments, and debt investments across all infrastructure strategies globally. He was also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Institutional Investing in Infrastructure.

Prior to Japan Post Bank, Yasuhrio worked at Mitsubishi Corporation for almost fifteen years where he was heavily involved with strategic investments and business development globally.

Yasuhiro received an engineering Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo focusing on infrastructure technology and mathematical modeling. He received a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Youngshin Park is the head of Real Estate and Infrastructure Investment Team at National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (NFFC). Mr. Park has 20+ years of investment experience in real asset investment in a broad spectrum of core/core+, opportunistic and special situations. He serves on the External Selection Boards and Investment Advisory Boards of a number of renowned Korean Institutions.
Prior to joining NFFC in 2015, Mr. Park was a Senior Investment Manager at Korea Post, where he was responsible for real estate & infrastructure investment. Previously, Mr. Park was at the Military Mutual Aids Association as an alternative investment specialist within its risk management team.

Vicki has over 25 years’ experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors. She joined Palisade as one of the founders in 2008 and holds a senior leadership role in the business. Vicki focuses on investors and capital across the group and has oversight of Palisade’s funds and mandates and operations. She has a particular interest in risk and governance and is a director on the boards of Palisade Investment Partners, Palisade Impact, Palisade Real Assets and Palisade Americas and a number of Palisade’s investee companies.
Prior to joining Palisade, Vicki spent time with Perpetual Investments and prior to that, 10 years with Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and Linklaters in Sydney, London and Hong Kong.
Vicki’s experience spans a broad range of sectors including PPPs, roads, airports, pipelines, renewable energy, power and gas. Her roles have included acquiring and managing assets, sitting on infrastructure boards and acting for sponsors and financiers in relation to the development, acquisition and financing of projects in Australia, Asia, India and the UK.
Vicki is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is admitted as a Solicitor in both NSW and England & Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Law) and Master of Arts (Law) from St Catharine’s College, Cambridge University.

Hyeyun is in charge of investing in cross-border infrastructure funds and individual projects at KB Asset Management. She has over 14 years of experience in domestic and cross-border infrastructure. Prior to joining KB, she started her career at Taeyoung E&C, with a focus on investing in domestic infrastructure projects. She holds a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Yonsei Graduate School of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Yonsei University.

Andrew Shin joined Willis Towers Watson in 2012 and is Head of Investment Services, Korea, advising Korean institutions. Andrew commenced his investment career in Canada progressing through a number of roles including product development, research analyst and investment management. He returned to Korea in 2007 to take up a Global Portfolio Manager role at the Asset Management Division of Dongbu Insurance. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2012, he was also a Senior Manager at the Structured Finance Team within the Investment Banking Group at Hanwha Investment Securities. Andrew holds a BA in Economics from Simon Fraser University in Canada and also holds various professional designations including the CFA Charter, FRM, CAIA and CMA designations. Andrew is currently a member of Korea CFA Society, Vancouver CFA Society, Korea CAIA Society, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant/Certified Management Accountant (Canada).

Hyukjae Shin is a Head of Infrastructure and real asset division 1 in NH Amundi Asset Management. Prior to his current position, Mr. Shin was director at Equis. Prior to that, Mr. Shin worked for KDB KIAMCO as the team head of overseas infrastructure and power & energy. He started his career from Macquarie Capital at Seoul Office after graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA degree in Business Administration.

Dan Shulman is Chief Executive Officer of Tokyo-based Shulman Advisory, a specialist Japanese power market and renewables consultancy. Dan previously held an executive role at Japan Power & Gas, and has held a variety of roles in the power industry for more than 15 years. He and his team are experts in the fascinating energy market transition underway in Japan, with a special focus on regulatory and quantitative analysis in support of the development of post-FIT, market-exposed renewables; grid infrastructure upgrades; and the development of new products and services in the power trading space.

Gregory J. Smith is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Instar Asset Management Inc. with nearly 30 years of experience in the investment, operation, acquisition and financing of private equity and infrastructure investments. Gregory previously served as Managing Partner and head of Brookfield Financial’s Global Infrastructure Advisory Group; President of Macquarie Capital Funds Canada Ltd.; President and Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Power & Infrastructure Income Fund; and as a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Essential Assets Partnership. Prior to Macquarie, Mr. Smith was Managing Director and Co-Head of RBC Capital Partners – Mezzanine Fund and a Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance. Mr. Smith is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Koji Someno is a Manager of Real Asset Fund Investment Division and Private Equity Fund Investment Division of Alternative Investment Department at Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company. Since joining Dai-ichi Life in 2017, he has been in charge of infrastructure investments and private equity investments. Prior to that, he spent about 13 years at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking (MUTB), where he was involved in the investments in private equity, infrastructure, real asset and venture funds. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce from Keio University.

Jamie is head of Northleaf’s infrastructure investment program and is a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee. Jamie oversees all aspects of Northleaf’s infrastructure investment activities, including transaction origination and execution, investor relations and business development.
Prior to joining Northleaf in 2010, Jamie was a Senior Vice President with the Macquarie Group, a leading global infrastructure investment, fund management and advisory firm, where he was directly involved in acquisitions, divestitures, asset management and capital raising. Previously, Jamie worked in London, UK with Scotia Capital and Morgan Stanley where he specialized in the principal acquisition, financing and securitization of assets across a range of sectors, with a focus on the aerospace industry.
Jamie received a B.A. in Economics from Western University and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of London. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Takeuchi has been involved in broad range of private asset investments at Asset Management One (AMO). AMO was formed by merging the 4 investment business units under Mizuho Financial Group and Dai-ichi Life Insurance in 2016. As a fiduciary of its clients, AMO invests in private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate. Between 2007 and 2015, Takeuchi was an active owner/founder of Brightrust PE Japan, a research and investment advisory firm focused on private equity. In 1990s Takeuchi co-headed global derivatives trading at a Berkshire Hathaway group company, General Re Financial Products, and oversaw its Asia Pacific operation. He started his professional carrier at a Japanese Government’s aid agency, Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, in 1983. He is a graduate of Tokyo University and Sydney University.

Roland C. F. Thompson serves as the Executive Officer and Head of Administration and Business Improvement at Green Power Investment Group (GPI), a leading subsidiary of Pattern Energy, boasting a 25GW global development portfolio with 35 operational facilities totaling 6 GWs. With over three decades of expertise in investment, operation, acquisition, and financing, Roland has cultivated a career in corporate, private equity, and infrastructure investments. In Japan, Roland leads enterprise risk management, climate risk assessments, net zero transition plans, and integration of GPI, TCFD, and GRESB into sustainability reporting. He is also actively researching new hydrogen business opportunities to further GPI's commitment to clean energy. Prior to his current role, Roland led the Asset Management and Operations, where he drove digitalization strategies and facilitated the onboarding of new operational assets.

Before joining GPI, Roland had a 15-year career in investment banking. He held prominent positions such as Representative Director for Credit Suisse First Boston (Asian) Services Limited and Director at Credit Suisse Securities (Japan) Limited. In these roles, Roland led operations and new initiatives in real estate and infrastructure, spanning project development, asset management, and services. His regional expertise includes managing diversified portfolios across 15 countries in Asia as the Regional Portfolio Director.

Roland holds an MBA from McGill University, an MSc in Sustainability from the University of Southern Queensland, and a BA from the University of Queensland. He is a chartered surveyor and chartered environmentalist.

In his personal time, Roland is dedicated to giving back to the community as the Chairman of the non-profit organization Unleash Potential, which raises funds and awareness for challenged children in Japan.

John Walker AM, who was Chairman of Macquarie Capital Asia and Chairman of Macquarie Group, Korea , retired in 2020 after a 22 year career with Macquarie Group. John spent 21 years in Asia, initially in Korea where he led the establishment of Macquarie’s business there, and then more broadly across Asia in his regional role. Prior to Macquarie John had a 26 year career in Government in Australia where his roles included Director General of Transport in New South Wales and the Chief Executive of the Chief Ministers Department in the Australian Capital Territory. Across all these roles John has led businesses and new initiatives in the energy and infrastructure sectors across project development, advisory and funds. In recognition of his achievements John was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1998 in recognition for his role in development of the transportation plan for the Sydney Olympics and his contribution to Government reform. Some years later he received a Citation from the President of Korea for his contribution to the development of Korea’s capital markets. John remains based in Asia and has established and Chairs Eastpoint Partners Limited which provides a range of advisory services. He also holds a broad range of board positions with a number of global companies including as Chairman of Infraco Asia Development and Infraco Asia Investments and is Vice Chairman (Asia) of the UK based Private Infrastructure Development Group. In his spare time John has published a number of Childrens’ books and is also a published singer songwriter with three albums to his name to date. The proceeds of both the book and album sales are donated to a range of charities across Asia. Post retiring from Macquarie John established Eastpoint Partners which provides bespoke services in the energy transition sector.

Yuriko Watanabe leads Japan Post Bank’s infrastructure investment program and its infrastructure debt program. Prior to joining Japan Post Bank in July 2019, she spent 11 years at the Bank of Japan, where she led various studies on investment activities of institutional investors, and structured one of the Bank’s reserve management programs, among other various roles she held. She holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development of Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Tokyo.

Alexander Wellsteed’s work at ADB focuses on the evaluation of the bank’s private sector operations. Prior to joining ADB in 2018 Mr. Wellsteed held various roles as an Associate Director General at JBIC in Tokyo and as Investment Director at Greenpark Capital LLC in Hong Kong. Prior to 2012, Mr. Wellsteed served as a Senior Investment Officer at IFC, focused on private equity, equity and structured finance transactions with banking, insurance and reinsurance clients in Asia and Africa. Mr. Wellsteed started his career in finance at Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd., with responsibility for overseas investments and PPPs in the energy, telecommunications, and transportation sectors. Mr. Wellsteed is a national of the United Kingdom, has studied variously at universities in the England, Germany and Japan and holds an MBA from Georgetown University.

Daniel is a Senior Managing Director with Stonepeak and is Head of Europe as well as a member of the Stonepeak Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Stonepeak, Daniel spent more than 20 years at Macquarie where he was most recently Global Co-Head of Macquarie Capital and a Member of the Group Executive Committee. While at Macquarie, Daniel led the firm’s global infrastructure M&A business and was responsible for the principal investment business in infrastructure and energy. Daniel also led Macquarie’s acquisition and served as Chairman of the Green Investment Group, a division that grew under his tenure into one of the world’s leading developers in renewable energy.

Daniel has served on the Board of Trustees of the Shoreditch Trust (a local London charity) and also the Board of the Macquarie Group Foundation.

Daniel received a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Atsunori Yamaura is Director, Alternative Advisory Division where he oversees alternative consulting activities in Japan. Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2007, he held several positions at Resona Bank in roles such as portfolio manager, business development and client relationship. Bachelor of Engineering from Doshisha University.
