Simon Ang serves as a 1st Vice President, Investments at CIM Group®. In this capacity, he oversees infrastructure opportunities, with a focus on energy transition through renewable fuels, including hydrogen and renewable natural gas. Prior to joining CIM, he served as a Senior Vice President for Macquarie Capital and Green Investment Group. His experience also includes roles with Proctor & Gamble, Zurich Financial Services and Westpac in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Ang earned a Co-op degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Mitsuhiro Arakawa is Executive Consultant, Consulting Dept. for Russell Investments Japan. He joined Russell in January 2007. Prior to joining Russell, he held positions at Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. Tharshini Ashokan is a reporter for PEI Media’s Infrastructure Investor, covering the Asia-Pacific region. She joined PEI in April 2021 and is based in Sydney. Prior to joining PEI, Tharshini covered financial and regulatory news for the self-managed superannuation fund sector in Australia. She has a double degree in Business Administration and Commerce from Macquarie University.

Alex recently joined HSBC Asset Management as Senior Portfolio Manager in the Asia Infrastructure Debt Investments team. He has 20 years of infrastructure finance experience, having worked in the sector in Paris, Singapore, and Hong Kong (since 2004). He has advised on, and arranged debt financing for, infrastructure projects in most countries around the Asia-Pacific region, in areas including power generation, transportation, PPP, oil and gas and mining. Alex has advised corporate, private equity and Government sponsors to win competitive tenders, and to deliver innovative financing structures, working with local and international banks, export credit agencies, multilateral development agencies, and increasingly debt capital market and institutional investors. Prior to joining HSBC in 2006, Alex worked in the project finance team of Credit Agricole. Alex has Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, France.

Gwen is an independent advisor for PE/Infra funds looking to develop their sustainable projects in Asia. She was until recently supporting the development of a consulting company expert in energy transition and sustainable finance, in Europe/APAC with leading financial players. She has been managing projects for global banks and PE/Infra funds on topics like impact management, climate change and sustainable finance more broadly. Gwen has done most of her career in some major financial corporations. She started as a legal advisor, then project manager, at Credit Agricole Asset Management (now Amundi) in Paris and Luxembourg, where she conceptualized and managed customized solutions to drive new opportunities and lead businesses to a new international scale. Amundi gave her the opportunity to lead the product innovation and sales distribution of a new Socially Responsible Investments offer targeting the Middle Eastern and South East Asian sovereign entities, institutional clients, private banks and family offices. Gwen graduated with a Master in Business Law and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Bretagne Occidentale in France. She has a certification in Islamic Finance from the Security Investment Institute of London.

Mounir Corm is Deputy CEO and Founding Partner of Vauban Infrastructure Partners. He was previously Deputy Head of the Mirova General Infrastructure activity. Mounir has been actively working and developing Mirova General Infrastructure's infrastructure activities since 2008. He has developed an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the core infrastructure market. During the course of his career, Mounir has worked on over €2bn of equity investments for a number of European core infrastructure assets and has been actively involved in the development and fundraising of new funds, helping develop the European growth of the business as well as its international client base. Mounir has led Mirova's origination and deal execution strategies and is also a director for various landmark infrastructure assets and companies (such as Indigo in transportation, Oslofjord in utilities, and Arema in social infrastructure) across Europe. Mounir started his career at PwC advising public entities and holds a Master's in Public Affairs from Sciences-Po Paris and a Master’s in Business from HEC.

Isabelle joined ICG in 2021 and brings over 20 years experience in infrastructure investments and advisory across Australasia, Europe and the Middle East. Isabelle has significant experience leading all stages of transactions including origination, execution, asset management, Board representation and exits across transport, power and utilities and social infrastructure. Prior to joining ICG, Isabelle was the Head of Real Assets and Private Equity at Frontier Advisors where she advised institutional investors on their portfolio strategy and investments across real assets. Prior to this, Isabelle held senior roles with MENA Infrastructure Fund in Dubai, HSBC (Power & Utilities) in the UK and Babcock & Brown in Australia & London.

Mark Florian leads the Global Energy & Power Infrastructure team at BlackRock, which currently manages over $8 billion for investment in the power, midstream, utility and other areas in the energy sector across three long term funds. The team completed its fundraising for a third $5.1 billion fund in April 2020. The team has created over 35 portfolio companies for the Funds and is actively investing globally. BlackRock acquired the Funds in 2017, which were created and built at First Reserve, a private equity firm that has been investing in exclusively in the energy sector since 1983. Mr. Florian started the Energy and Power Infrastructure business at First Reserve in 2008. The team now includes about 35 investment professionals and is located in Greenwich Connecticut, London and Houston. The Team expects to open an office in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020. Prior to First Reserve, Mr. Florian had a 23-year career at Goldman Sachs. He was a Partner at this Firm, and worked across many areas including corporate investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and public finance in his career there. His last position at Goldman was as the COO of the Public Sector and Infrastructure Department, managing the infrastructure investment banking business which included about 150 people, and a member of the investment committee for Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners. Mr. Florian has an undergraduate degree from Duke University, magna cum laude, majoring in Computer Science and Economics and an MBA from the University of Chicago in Finance.

Glenn heads the Infrastructure Debt Investments team at HSBC Asset Management, bringing almost 30 years of infrastructure experience to the role. He heads a team which invests globally in USD infrastructure debt and in a select range of Asia Pacific local currencies.

A seasoned practitioner in the infrastructure sector, Glenn has worked as a policymaker and adviser to public procurers, private equity sponsors and infrastructure debt investors, debt structurers and originators and as an asset manager.

Glenn’s broad sector experience spans airports, availability based PPP projects, conventional energy, oil and gas, ports, transportation, renewables, telecommunications and utilities. He has closed transactions in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Glenn began his career with HM Treasury, where he helped develop some of the earliest transport PFI projects. Following this, Glenn joined Arthur Andersen as an adviser on the procurement and financing of PFI projects in the UK. Between 2001 and 2008 Glenn structured and originated debt at the monolines Ambac, MBIA and then FGIC, where he was European Head of Infrastructure. Since 2008 Glenn has worked at the interface between infrastructure debt opportunities and investors as Chief Investment Officer of Hadrian’s Wall Capital, as a partner of FHW Capital, and at HSBC Asset Management, which he joined in 2015.

Nick has lived, studied, and worked in Asia for 25 years. He has spent his entire career investing in and assisting start-ups and venture projects in getting off the ground, funded, and on the path to success in Asia. From 2000-2005, Nick was a Partner at Tokyo based growth-stage VC K2 Venture Capital, where he led a number of investments, including Oneallianz, Inc., which was acquired by Hewlett Packard and Sentient Health, Pte. Ltd., which was acquired by Black & Decker. From 2005-2017, Nick was the co-founder of the Invention Development Fund Japan & Korea (IDF). IDF was a $600M+ global PE fund focused on investing into the earliest stages of innovation. Since 2018, Nick has been the Head of Asia for Glydways, Inc., a Silicon Valley start-up offering public transportation solutions using autonomous vehicle technology to municipalities. He has established partnerships with many of Japan’s leading automotive, electronics, infrastructure, real estate, and financial companies. Nick has a double B.A. in International Relations & Asian Studies from Colgate University, New York, USA and is fluent in Japanese.

Shuji Hatsukaiwa is Head of Private Asset Sales & Product at Schroder Investment Management (Japan). He joined Schroders in 2018 as a representative of private asset business management for Schroders Japan. In his prior career at Mitsubishi Corporation, he was dedicated to real asset investments including Infrastructure, Private Equity and Real Estate for 21 years from various aspects such as M&A advisory, LP investment, co-investment and direct investment with Mitsubishi’s balance sheet. During his career at Mitsubishi, he headed the investment team of AI Capital for 4 years to serve Japanese institutional investors as FOF manager/gate keeper.

Shuichi Hayashida is Head of Japan & Vice Head for South East Asia for the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. Currently works out of Tokyo office to further the World Bank Group’s mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting investment from Japanese equity and debt providers including institutional lenders toward emerging countries. Previously worked for MUFG Bank out of Singapore, London, Tokyo with focus on project finance and M&A transactions worldwide. Hayashida has LL.M. from University of London, Master of Science in Finance from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and a BA in Economics from Keio University. He is also a US-certified CPA、member of CIArb, and a Japanese CMA.

Tomoya Hori is Director at the Private Equity Investment Department at Japan Post Bank, responsible for investment of infrastructure equity funds, co-investment, and debt funds.
Prior to joining JPB, Mr. Hori was an investment banker at Macquarie Capital, focusing on principal investment and financial advisory to infrastructure businesses at equity side. Before joining MacCap, he was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank covering securitization, structured finance, and lending as arranger and investor at debt side. Mr. Hori holds a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

Horie is Co-founder and CEO of CSR Design Green Investment Advisory, Co., Ltd., which focuses on ESG advisory in the real estate and infrastructure sectors as well as research on green buildings and sustainable finance. He graduated from University of Tokyo and holds an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Horie served as a member of global Advisory Group of UNEP FI Property Working Group, and currently, he is a member of global Real Estate Advisory Committee of PRI. Horie has also participated in many governmental committees on ESG organized by Japanese MLIT and other ministries as a member or chairperson.

Takaaki Hoshino spent more than 20 years at Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), where he has extensive career in global as well as domestic infrastructure & energy investment via debt and equity. His recent experience includes DBJ’s co-investment with the world’s largest pension fund, Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan (GPIF) in global infrastructure space under the Global Strategic Investment Alliance, a co-investment program developed by Canada’s Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). Currently as Executive Officer, Head of Global Fund Investment at DBJ Asset Management, he oversees the firm’s investment in private equity and infrastructure, which amounts to AUM of $15 Billion in aggregate. In respect of ESG, he served as a member of PRI Infrastructure Advisory Committee from 2018 till 2020. He holds an LLB from the University of Tokyo and an MSc in Finance from London Business School.

Toru Inoue runs the infrastructure and structured finance team in Goldman Sachs’ Tokyo office. He has taken a lead role in developing the world’s first project bonds backed by solar assets, and in arranging Japan’s first revenue bonds issued by Ibaraki prefecture’s waste management agency. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 2006 he was at Nikko Salomon Smith Barney where he led the Atami Beach Line transaction, Japan’s first securitization of a toll road.

Laurent is currently Head of Asia-Pacific, Real Estate at AXA IM Alts. He is responsible for all operations in the Asia-Pacific region, including overseeing investment, asset management and capital raising activities from the offices in Japan, South Korea and Australia. Laurent is a member of the Real Estate Management Board. Laurent was also appointed President and CEO of AXA Investment Managers Japan in June 2022 in addition to his current role as Head of APAC, Real Estate, AXA IM Alts.

Laurent joined AXA IM Real Assets in 2001 as Corporate Finance Manager in Paris. Between 2006 and 2010 he was Head of Corporate Finance UK, before becoming Global Head of Corporate Finance. He was most recently European Head of Transactions. Laurent began his career at Ernst & Young working in both Paris and Brussels.

Anand joined Antin in 2021 as a founding member of the NextGen team. Prior to joining Antin, Anand was at Investec as the Head of M&A in the power and infrastructure team in London, where he was responsible for developing their multi-product power and infrastructure business. Prior to this, Anand was a Partner at Greenhill, where he led the establishment of their utilities and infrastructure practice. Before joining Greenhill, Anand spent over a decade at Dresdner Kleinwort where he was instrumental in leading the creation of their specialist infrastructure practice and founding their Asia business. Anand has also previously worked at Credit Suisse/BZW, HSBC, Glaxo, Arthur Andersen and Deloitte India. Throughout his career, Anand has advised on infrastructure transactions spanning sectors and geographies, having advised on privatisations, capital raisings and M&A transactions to the value of over $250 billion. Anand has consistently led innovation in the market, being responsible for a number of creative transactions that overhauled the sector and set the standard for decades to come. Anand holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Bombay and is also as a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary in India.

Yamato is a Senior Power Market Analyst at Wood Mackenzie’s Asia Pacific Power & Renewables team. He delivers power and renewables market research in Asia Pacific, covering solar, wind, storage, power modelling and power policy analysis to develop research and market insights. He also engages with clients and industry in Japan’s power market. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Yamato spent more than ten years at Japan International Cooperation Agency, where he engaged in the energy industry in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, focusing on power sector master planning, financing projects for renewables, conventional power plants and power grids. He also led technical cooperation projects on energy efficiency and R&D projects on hydrogen fuel cell and biofuels in Southeast Asia. Yamato holds a Master of International Public Policy in Energy, Resource and Environment from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a Master of Engineering in Environment, Resource and Materials at Waseda University.

Yoshifumi Kida is director for product development team at Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments since January 2020. As a placement agent, he proposes alternative products to Japanese institutional investors, in coordination with third party investment managers. Prior to the firm, he was a manager for infrastructure and farmland fund investment at Nippon Life Insurance, one of the largest institutional investors in Japan. Before Nippon Life, he worked for Asset Management One, an investment arm of Mizuho Financial Group. He played wide variety roles there from equity analyst, economist to fund management for global equity, sovereign, credit type of products. He has a bachelor’s degree from Keio University for Business and Commerce in 2006.

Doug Kimmelman established Energy Capital Partners in April 2005 and serves as its Senior Partner. Mr. Kimmelman currently serves on the boards of Calpine Corporation, US Development Group, LLC, USD Partners, LP, Sunnova Energy Corp., and NESCO Holdings LP. He is a member of ECP’s Management Committee and Investment Committee. ECP has over $20 billion of equity and credit capital under management and is the largest independent owner in the U.S. of electricity generation, renewable power and energy storage assets, having owned over 300 individual power generation assets over the past 15 years. ECP focuses on control investments across power generation, renewables, energy storage, environmental infrastructure and midstream assets. Prior to founding Energy Capital Partners, Mr. Kimmelman spent 22 years with Goldman Sachs, starting in 1983 in the firm’s Pipeline and Utilities Department within the Investment Banking Division. He was named a General Partner of the firm in 1996 and remained exclusively focused on the energy and utility sectors in the Investment Banking Division until 2002 when he transferred to the firm’s J. Aron commodity group to help form a new business for the firm in becoming an intermediary in electricity trading markets. Mr. Kimmelman also played a leadership role at Goldman Sachs in building a principal investing business in power generation and related energy assets. Mr. Kimmelman received a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Philanthropically, Mr. Kimmelman is developing, alongside his four children, the largest non-profit community academic and athletic center in the country in Los Angeles in honor of his late wife and is partnering on the project with Tiger Woods charitable foundation and the United States Tennis Association. He also chairs the board of Blair Academy, a boarding school in New Jersey.

Shinya has over 10 years structured finance experience in Tokyo and London, focusing particularly on Project Finance in the offshore wind sector. He has played a key role in the debt financing of landmark transactions during the evolution of the sector in Europe since 2012 and has been heading the Global Renewable Team in Tokyo since 2020 where his primary focus has been on advising and arranging debt financing for offshore wind projects both in Japan and overseas.

At Marubeni Corporation, engaged mainly in the development and implementation of power, water and infrastructure projects, and strategic planning for over 30 years. He has been stationed in Southeast Asia and Middle East Africa for about 12 years. He has served as General Manager of COO Office, Power Business Division, General Manager of IOT & New Energy Digital Solution Business Department, General Manager of Power Digital Solution Business Department, Director of Renewable Energy Test Center in the US, and others. He participated in the Gunfleet Sand project in the UK for the offshore wind business as First Japanese. He promotes alliances with US GE, France Engie, etc. in the power digital field. Engaged in general management assistance for the solar power business as a senior executive vice president (SEVP) at afterFIT Co., Ltd.. Participated in November 2020 with the establishment of Envision Digital Japan. He has been in his current position since April 2021.

Shigefumi Kuroki is an Executive Officer at DBJ Asset Management Co., Ltd., the investment management arm of DBJ, and is currently responsible for investing and managing infrastructure assets (both directly and through funds) on behalf of clients.
Shigefumi possesses more than 25 years of experience in the project investment and finance industry, and prior to joining DBJ in 2010, he was involved in a wide range of infrastructure and energy transactions from a variety of angles, including investment banking (at Merrill Lynch), commercial banking (at SocGen), principal investment (at ORIX) and ECA finance (at JBIC).

Joanne Lee is a sustainable finance expert with over 14 years of experience in environmental finance. As a Responsible Investment (RI) Specialist at First Sentier Investors (FSI), Joanne works on the strategic development and implementation of the firm’s RI initiatives and is leading FSI’s work on nature and biodiversity. Based in Hong Kong, she develops thematic content related to sustainability and provides advice and analytical support on this topic for all teams.

Prior to joining FSI, Joanne was a Sustainable Finance Specialist at WWF, driving the research and advocacy on net-zero portfolio alignment, natural capital and green financial solutions. She also worked on renewable energy financing at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi and climate consultancies in the US. Joanne is a CFA Charterholder with a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Nori is AirTrunk’s Head of Japan and oversees Japan business and expansion plans, as well as the company’s local partnerships. Nori joined AirTrunk from Mapletree Japan and held leadership positions in real estate development and investment at PwC, Deutsche Bank and GE Capital.

Kanna leads business development and stakeholder relationships for Macquarie’s principal investment and advisory business in Japan. Her most recent experiences include origination of partnerships and projects in offshore wind, solar and data centre sector in Japan and successful formation of a partnership with JERA on Formosa 1, 2 and 3 offshore wind projects in Taiwan.

Since joining Macquarie in 2013, she has developed an extensive network of relationships with Japanese corporates including major utilities, trading houses, oil & gas and industrial companies. She also set up government relations function for Macquarie’s business in Japan, and has been making a variety of policy proposals to the Japanese government. She takes active leadership roles in bodies such as Japan Wind Power Association and Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

Before joining Macquarie, Kanna engaged in commercial lending for non-EU EMEA companies in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s EMEA headquarter in London for 5 years. Kanna started her career as a business consultant at BearingPoint (currently PwC) where she worked on various business process optimisation projects for Japanese companies.

Adrian joined Actis in 2009 and is responsible for originating and managing investments in the infrastructure sector. He transitioned from the energy sector where he has been heavily involved in all of Actis’ distribution investments, including Umeme in Uganda, Eneo in Cameroon, and Energuate in Guatemala. Adrian supported the successful IPO and subsequent capital markets partial exit of Umeme. In addition, Adrian worked on the acquisition of Fund 2’s Kribi and Dibamba assets, which were sold as part of the Globeleq Africa portfolio. Prior to Actis, Adrian worked as a management consultant with Monitor Group & Monitor Corporate Finance in Toronto and Seoul from 2001 to 2004 and as Director of International Expansion at Endeavor Global from 2008 to 2009. He also spent time with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (2007), UNDP in Indonesia (2006), CARE International Zambia (2005) and Goldman Sachs investment banking (2000). Adrian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA/ID degree from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.Com (Honours) from Queen’s University (Canada), and is a CFA charterholder.

Akihito Nagata is General Manager, Private Asset Investment Department at Nissay Asset Management Corporation. Since joining the company in 2016, he has been in charge of infrastructure co-investment projects as well as infrastructure fund investments mainly for external clients.
Prior to joining Nissay Asset Management Corporation, he spent 20 years at Japan’s government agencies such as Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), where he was involved in sovereign loans for public sector-based infrastructure development as well as in project finance lending for private sector infrastructure projects, both in developing countries.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Tokyo and a Master of Science degree in International Business from Lancaster University.

Shantini joined HSBC Global Asset Management in May 2019. Shantini is responsible for driving wholesale client growth of the Alts platform in Asia, out of Singapore, working closely with both the local investment and sales teams. Alternatives are a key component of our growth strategy and Shantini brings a wealth of experience in alternatives portfolio management and solutions product sales from her previous role as a Senior Product Specialist for the HSBC Private Credit team and her previous experience at former investment management firms. Tony Nakamura currently serves as Representative Director of Canadian Solar Asset Management K.K. (CSAM) CSAM is an investment manager for both its listed infrastructure fund and private deals. Prior to joining CSAM back in 2016, he had taken senior roles at asset managers and investment banks. He earned MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Bachelor of Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University.

Shinji Nozu is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Alternative Investment Capital Limited (AI Capital). Since joining the firm in 2009, he is responsible for investment activities in private equity investing including infrastructure funds. He now leads an investment decision making process as a chairperson of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the firm, he had experiences in banking, consulting and internal audit businesses. He holds a BA in Economics from Keio University and MBAs from Hitotsubashi University and Imperial College London.

Keisuke Okano is in charge of Infrastructure investments at ORIX Life Insurance Corporation. Since joining ORIX Life in 2019, he has led the growth of the infrastructure portfolio. In prior role, he was in Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) for 8 years where he took various role there, including he served as portfolio manager for Infrastructure investments from the time when GPIF starts alternative investment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Waseda University.

Yasuhiro Ono is a Director with Stonepeak. Before joining Stonepeak, Yasuhiro was Head of Infrastructure Investments at Japan Post Bank where he helped establish the infrastructure program and was responsible for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure portfolio of fund investments, co-investments, and debt investments across all infrastructure strategies globally. He was also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Institutional Investing in Infrastructure.

Prior to Japan Post Bank, Yasuhrio worked at Mitsubishi Corporation for almost fifteen years where he was heavily involved with strategic investments and business development globally.

Yasuhiro received an engineering Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo focusing on infrastructure technology and mathematical modeling. He received a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Jeff is a member of Northleaf's Investment Committees and oversees the origination, evaluation and monitoring of Northleaf’s private markets investments, with a focus on North American and Asian opportunities. Jeff also leads Northleaf’s investor relations and business development activities, working closely with existing and prospective investors and investment consultants to design, develop and monitor their private markets portfolios. Jeff serves on the advisory boards of several partnerships within Northleaf’s portfolio. Prior to joining Northleaf’s predecessor, TD Capital, in 2005, Jeff was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company where he specialized in corporate strategy, finance and organizational behaviour, advising companies in financial services and other sectors. Previously, Jeff was a corporate/securities lawyer with Stikeman Elliott in Toronto, and Hamada Matsumoto in Tokyo, where he advised clients on private equity, infrastructure, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Manish Rastogi is currently Head of Funds and Investor Relations at Birdwood Energy, a specialist renewables infrastructure investment firm. Prior to this role, Manish was Head of Real Assets with Frontier Advisors where he his team provided investment consulting and manager research on infrastructure, real estate and private equity to institutional investors. Prior to Frontier, Manish was at IFM Investors in the infrastructure investments team, and in M&A advisory with O’Sullivan Partners (now Lazard) in Sydney and with Lehman Brothers in London. Manish holds MBA qualifications from London Business School majoring in finance and a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer) with honours from the University of Melbourne.

Ryan is a Managing Director with Stonepeak. Prior to joining Stonepeak, Ryan covered the oil & gas sector for King Street, a New York based hedge fund focused on distressed and special situations credit investments. Prior to King Street, Ryan worked in the energy group at TPG Capital, a large global private equity firm. Ryan started his career in Credit Suisse’s oil & gas investment banking group. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University.

Jo Saleeba is the Head of Sustainability for New Forests, primarily responsible for overseeing the management, execution, and continuous improvement of New Forests’ responsible investment-related policies, systems, reporting and procedures. Jo has a distinguished career in responsible investment as an institutional investor. She was the inaugural CEO of the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) in Australia, and has extensive experience with some of the most progressive superannuation funds, and with corporate and investment clients in her own consulting business. Heiko Schupp is the Global Head of Infrastructure Investments at Columbia Threadneedle Investments with responsibility for establishing and managing our global unlisted infrastructure business including our European Sustainable Infrastructure Strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Heiko worked at Hastings Funds Management Ltd, where he was the Portfolio Manager of the Core Infrastructure Income Fund. Heiko is a first generation investment professional in the infrastructure asset class. He has extensive experience in originating and closing international infrastructure transactions, managing assets at board level as well as portfolio management. For the last decade, he has been part his organisations’ investment committees. Prior to Hastings, his roles included Investment Director at the ABN AMRO Infrastructure Fund, Head of Infrastructure for Europe at HBOS and Head of Urban and Light Rail at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He graduated in 1996 from the FH Koblenz (University) in Germany as Diplom Betriebswirt FH (Masters Degree in Economics).

Sohei Shiotani seconded from Mitsubishi Corporation to Marunouchi Infrastructure Inc in 2018 and is currently responsible for all investment activities as CIO. Prior to joining MII, he spent more than 20 years for real-estate securitization, PE activities and development of Japanese domestic infrastructure investment opportunities at SMBC, CBRE, PAG and MC UBS realty. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Kyoto University.

Koji Someno is a Manager of Real Asset Fund Investment Division and Private Equity Fund Investment Division of Alternative Investment Department at Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company. Since joining Dai-ichi Life in 2017, he has been in charge of infrastructure investments and private equity investments. Prior to that, he spent about 13 years at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking (MUTB), where he was involved in the investments in private equity, infrastructure, real asset and venture funds. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce from Keio University.

Freek Spoorenberg, Director, BlackRock Renewable Power, is a senior product strategist, and leads the Product Strategy & Investor Relations activities globally for the Renewable Power platform. Mr. Spoorenberg is focused on business growth with responsibility for product development, fundraising and investor relations. BlackRock Renewable Power manages over $9 billion of AUM that we have invested in more than 250 wind and solar projects globally on behalf of our investors.
Mr. Spoorenberg joined BlackRock in 2012, shortly after the establishment of BlackRock's Infrastructure and Renewable Power platform. Mr. Spoorenberg has contributed to the growth and development of both BlackRock's Infrastructure and Renewable Power business. He was also member of the Global Consultant Relations Team within BlackRock's Institutional Client Business focused on managing relationships with investment consultants. Prior to joining BlackRock, he was a Structured Products Sales Analyst at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking providing cross-asset solutions to Benelux institutional clients, private banks and asset managers. Mr. Spoorenberg earned an MSc degree in International Business from Maastricht University, and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Tetsuya Tabata joined the Bank in 2004 and is currently responsible for Private Equity / Infrastructure investments on a global basis as Co-Head of Private Equity Investment team, Investment Products Development Department, SMTB Tokyo Head office. Until September 2019, he spent over 6years to lead the investment team in Hong Kong as Head of Private Equity/Infrastructure in Sumitomo Mitsui Trust (Hong Kong). Before he joined PE team in April 2008, he worked in global credit supervision department in charge of US IG Bond and US securitized products (CLO, CARDS, other ABS etc). And prior to that, he was in charge of global credit business promotion and overseas credit portfolio management. Mr. Tabata received a Bachelor of political science from Waseda University.

Joined GPIF in March 2016, from Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management (‘SMAM’), where he led a newly established team that developed investment opportunities in the alternative space for clients mainly in Japanese pension industry.

Before seconded to SMAM from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (‘SMBC’) in late 2014, he took a leading role to develop new investment opportunities in the private equity investment market in Asia-Pacific region for the bank and also led a team to establish an infrastructure fund dedicated to Indian market with an Indian local bank and a global infrastructure investor.

Before moving to SMBC in 2007, he worked for a Japanese subsidiary of MassMutual Life Insurance (‘MMJ’) as a chief portfolio manager, leading MMJ’s investment activities in corporate bond, securitization products and various alternative fund investment markets.

He started his professional career at Sumitomo Trust & Banking (now renamed as Sumitomo Mitsui Trust & Banking) in1987 and long served in the credit investment business area, where he accumulated experiences in corporate, project, municipality and emerging market financing as well as securitization bond/loan investment opportunities in global market, at the bank’s Tokyo head office and its London Branch. Mark Weisdorf is Managing Partner of Mark Weisdorf Associates, focusing on private equity and infrastructure investment strategies. He is Investment Committee Chair of Swiss-based IST3 Global Infrastructure Fund; and a Senior Advisor to Toronto-based Climate Innovation Capital and Star Mountain Capital based in NYC. In addition to numerous consulting projects, since 2015, Mark has facilitated over $3 billion of renewable energy, transportation and other infrastructure investments and financings. As Global CIO & CEO based in NYC, Mark established JPMorgan’s Infrastructure Investments platform in 2005 and grew it to $10 billion AUM by 2014. Prior to 2004, Mark was Head of Private Markets at the CPP Investment Board in Toronto, where he developed and implemented Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure investment strategies, totaling $7 billion. Prior to 2000, Mark was a senior investment banker and executive in Toronto, at HSBC Canada (Deputy CEO), CIBC World Markets, and Merrill Lynch Canada. Shinichi Yasuda serves for two departments of the Development Bank of Japan, Inc.; Structured Finance Department and Corporate Finance Department, Division 5, particularly responsible for renewable energy sector projects in overseas countries as well as in Japan. He has a long and powerful career in project finance and equity investment for energy infrastructure projects. Recent transaction highlights include leading a preferred equity investment in UK offshore wind power assets (860MW) an acquisition of wind power assets (150MW) of Japanese wind power developer backed by Bain Capital and raising the largest solar energy fund in Japan with GE Energy Financial Services (GE EFS). Prior to the current position, he had been seconded to International Affairs Division of Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) under Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), which covers International Energy Agency (IEA) under OECD and G8 Energy Ministerial Meeting. He holds MSc (Metals and Energy Finance) degree from Imperial College London and BA (Economics, Monetary policies) degree from Kyoto University.

日本政策投資銀行でストラクチャードファイナンス部と企業金融第5部の二部門に勤務し、特に後者では国内外における再生エネルギー部門のプロジェクトを担当。エネルギーインフラに関するプロジェクトのプロジェクトファイナンスおよびエクイティ投資で長年の経験を持ち成功を収めている。最近の主な取引としては、英国の洋上風力発電資産（860MW）への優先株投資、ベインキャピタルによる国内風力発電開発会社の風力発電資産（150MW）の買収、GEエネルギー・フィナンシャルサービス（GE EFS）と共同の国内最大の太陽光エネルギーファンドの立ち上げなど。現職以前は、OECDの国際エネルギー機関（IEA）およびG8のエネルギー担当相会合の担当である経済産業省（METI）・資源エネルギー庁国際課に出向していた。インペリアルカレッジ・ロンドンで修士号（金属およびエネルギー金融）を取得、京都大学経済学部卒業（経済学、通貨政策専攻）。
