Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala

Chief Climate Officer, New York City

Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala was appointed Commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the City’s Chief Climate Officer in February 2022. During his time as Commissioner, DEP has embraced a leadership role on both stormwater and coastal resilience, streamlined its procurement processes to be able to invest more money in infrastructure each year, and improved water revenues by reducing accounts receivable and delivering revenues $250 million above budget in his first year. As Chief Climate Officer, he also led the development of New York City’s most recent sustainability plan, PlaNYC.

Prior to the Adams administration, Aggarwala served as the first Director of the New York City Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, where he led the creation of the first PlaNYC. He later founded the environmental grantmaking program at Bloomberg Philanthropies and served as president of the Board of Directors of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. He was part of the founding team at Sidewalk Labs—Google’s urban technology startup—and more recently was a senior urban tech fellow at the Jacobs Cornell-Technion Institute. He has co-chaired the Regional Plan Association’s Fourth Regional Plan for the New York metropolitan area and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Aggarwala holds a PhD, MBA, and BA from Columbia University and an MA from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Ankit Bhatt

Managing Director, Investment Head – Industrial, Oxford Properties Group

Ankit Bhatt oversees Oxford’s US Industrial investment business and is responsible for the overall strategic direction and investment activities within the sector. He has led Oxford’s entry into the US Logistics space since 2018 which today is a ~US$7.0 billion business focused on big-box industrial development (via 50% ownership in IDI Logistics), direct-drive national light industrial platform and a significant investment in cold storage (via Lineage Logistics, the world’s largest cold storage operator). Ankit also serves as a Board of Directors member for IDI Logistics.

Prior to joining Oxford in 2013, Ankit worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking group at CIBC Capital Markets where he was involved in over $20 billion of cross-border transactions. Ankit began his career at KPMG in the Real Estate Transaction Advisory group. Ankit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University and has completed the General Management Program from Wharton Business School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Ankit is based out of Oxford’s New York Office.

David Armitage

Senior Vice President, CBRE Affordable Housing

David Armitage is Senior Vice President at CBRE Affordable Housing, responsible primarily for M&A advisory, portfolio sales, and specialty financing solutions. Throughout his career he has closed over $23 billion in transactions and financing.

Prior to joining CBRE, David held senior leadership roles in corporate development, investment strategy, asset management, and development for firms ranging from international REITs to private equity backed operators and multigenerational family enterprises.

Mark Biancucci

Chief Financial Officer, US, Lendlease

Mark was appointed Chief Financial Officer, US in December 2021 and is based in our New York Office. Prior to his current role, Mark was Executive General Manager, Finance for the Development business, responsible for the financial management of the national US real estate portfolio. Mark also held the role of Commercial Director, Finance for the NY and Boston Office and prior to moving to New York in 2016 he held various finance roles within Lendlease’s Australian business.

Experience prior to joining Lendlease in 2013 included various finance roles for MAB Corporation and its subsidiaries. He was also Treasury Officer for National Australia Bank.

Mark has over 20 years of real estate experience across the investment management, and development and construction segments and is a member of the US Regional Leadership Team.

He received his Post Grad Diploma, Applied Finance and Investment from Financial Services Institute of Australia and Bachelor of Business, Accounting/ Banking and Finance Victoria University.

Steven Boydstun

Managing Director and President MUFG Fund Services (USA) LLC

As President of MUFG Capital Analytics, LLC, a US Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Administrator, Steven is responsible for developing business unit strategy; developing key long term client relationships; and leading Client Relationship Management, Client Service Delivery, and Operations teams in execution of the strategy.
Prior to MUFG, Steven has 21 years of experience within the alternatives industry, to include working in leadership at Lehman Brothers, Neuberger Berman, and TPG Global; in consulting at Ernst and Young; and in commercial software, at AltaReturn.
Steven started his career in the United States Air Force in 1986 in Intelligence & Training.
Steven lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife Kris and three children.

Gila Cohen

Partner, Chief Investment Officer, Vanbarton Group

Ms. Cohen joins from Monroe Capital LLC, where she was the Global Head of Institutional Partnerships, responsible for fostering key partnerships and driving growth initiatives. Before her tenure at Monroe Capital, she held top leadership positions at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (USA) (“MUFG”), including Chief Investment Strategy Officer. At MUFG, Ms. Cohen was responsible for advising, directing, and governing the strategic alternatives investment portfolio, as well as playing a strategic role in the Firm's ESG and DEI initiatives.

Additionally, Ms. Cohen has held senior investment banking and trusted advisor roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS Investment Bank, and Credit Suisse First Boston, where she honed her abilities in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and client relations.

Jim Costello

Head of Real Estate Economics, MSCI

Jim Costello is an economist who analyzes the commercial property markets. Jim communicates stories on market performance to clients of MSCI in numerous written articles and in presentations that rely on Jim’s conversational speaking style.

Jim has worked in the commercial real estate space on issues of urban economics since 1990, including a 20-year stint with CBRE’s Torto Wheaton Research team. Jim developed important building blocks for market analysis while at Torto Wheaton including ways to think about market risk and implications for asset values.

Jim provided advice to the U.S. Treasury Department and other policy makers in the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis and helped educate these professionals on commercial real estate performance. In the Covid-19 crisis Jim leveraged his experience and long perspective on the market to help industry leaders understand how the downturn and rebound from this shock will vary from others.

Jim is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate and in 2022 finished serving a term a member of the Commercial Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Rhys Davies

Partner, ESG & Impact, Kirkland & Ellis International LLP

Rhys Davies is a partner in the ESG & Impact Practice Group in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Rhys has more than 15 years of ESG experience, including advising private equity firms, public companies and project sponsors in relation to the design and implementation of ESG strategies across a range of sectors, including energy and natural resources, infrastructure, real estate and technology.

Rhys' experience includes advising on sustainable finance disclosures (including pursuant to the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation), green taxonomies, sustainability reporting, climate change, biodiversity loss, human rights and responsible business practices. He has assisted clients to develop and review ESG-related governance measures, policies, strategies, metrics and disclosures in a number of jurisdictions under both mandatory and voluntary frameworks.

Rhys also has broad environmental and social regulatory experience, including in relation to environmental impact assessment, emissions licensing, contaminated land, natural resources, indigenous engagement and cultural heritage. He has represented clients in both transactional settings and proceedings before administrative decision-makers, panels, tribunals and superior courts.

In addition to his undergraduate qualifications, Rhys holds a postgraduate certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge and a FSA credential issued by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. Rhys is a former member of the Governance and Advisory Board for the Australian National Contact Point under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Adi Divgi

Founder and Chief Investment Officer, Divino Global Holdings LLC

Adi Divgi is Founder/CIO at Divino Global Holdings, which he founded in 2023 to provide investors access to capacity-constrained and hard-to-access private market opportunities. Previously, he was Managing Director of Strategic Wealth at Legacy Wealth Management and Legacy Investment Solutions, its discretionary affiliate, since July 2021. From Apr 2014 to May 2021, Mr. Divgi was Head of Alternative Investments at Catalina, a $5+bn AUM reinsurer. From 2011-2014, Mr. Divgi oversaw the Opportunistic Fixed Income investment program at the New York City Bureau of Asset Management ('BAM'). Mr. Divgi began his credit career at Deutsche Bank, working in New York and Mexico City, and is a graduate of the Huntsman Program, with a BA in International Studies (Spanish minor) from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics and MBA in Finance from Wharton

Bradford Dockser

Throughout two decades of real estate investing, Brad was a Principal with MacFarlane Partners and the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Starwood Capital Europe and Starwood Capital Asia overseeing operations in each region. Brad began his career with JMB Realty, then the largest US real estate firm, and later with CRI, then the largest owner of multifamily residential properties, where he oversaw the creation of Capital Apartment Properties REIT (CAPREIT).
Brad received an A.B. cum laude in Economics and an MBA, both from Harvard University. Brad serves as a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) and is a member of the Global Advisory Board for ULI's Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate. He is also on the ULI Global Exchange Product Council. He previously served as the Chair of ULI’s Redevelopment and Reuse Product Council, as a Non-executive Director of London-based Impact Investment firm Conduit Capital, and previously founded the ULI Washington’s Sustainability Initiative. He is a member of The Economic Club of Washington DC, US Green Building Council, and International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). Brad is a mentor for MetaProp (NY), and a CREtech Leadership Board member. He was also Founding Director of the Greater Washington Exploratory Committee, DC’s bid committee for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Julie Donegan

Director of Real Estate, CalSTRS

Julie Donegan became the Director of Real Estate in August 2023, and is responsible for directing an investment staff of over 25 people and overseeing a real estate portfolio totaling approximately $50 billion as of July 31, 2023. Ms. Donegan joined CalSTRS in December 2019 as a Portfolio Manager focused on residential assets which includes development, acquisitions, and Real Estate operating company ownership. Ms. Donegan’s work experience includes nearly ten years at Franklin Real Asset Advisors where she served as Senior Vice President and was a voting member of the Global Real Estate Investment Committee. She also served as a Senior Vice President with Eastdil Secured where she primarily focused on manager due diligence, private fund structuring, joint ventures, and structured finance transactions. Ms. Donegan began her career at CalPERS where she was an investment officer responsible for the $2 billion non-core real estate program. She holds a B.S. in Business Management. Ms. Donegan is a member of PREA (Pension Real Estate Association), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) where she served on the National Board of Directors and has been a member of the Sacramento chapter for more than 20 years.

Chris Ebersole

Investment Officer, Oregon State Treasury

Chris Ebersole is a Real Estate Investment Officer for Oregon State Treasury where he is responsible for the allocation, oversight and execution of the Oregon Public Employees’ Retirement Fund real estate portfolio. Prior to joining the Oregon real estate team in 2018, Chris spent twelve years with SKB, a commercial real estate investment and management firm headquartered in Portland, OR. During his tenure at SKB, he was responsible for the acquisition, asset management and disposition of a diverse portfolio of real estate investments in markets across the U.S. as well as institutional capital relationships with an array of partners.

Chris is a CFA charterholder and earned a B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from Rhodes College.

Jeffrey Fine

Global Head of Real Estate Client Solutions & Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Jeffrey Fine is the Global Head of Real Estate Client Solutions & Capital Markets within Goldman Sachs Asset Management and a partner in Real Estate Asset Management.

Jeffrey is a member of the Global Real Estate Investment Committee, which approves equity and credit investments in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Jeffrey joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 2002, was named managing director in 2012 and partner in 2018.

He is a member of the Cornell University Council, the Dyson School Advisory Council, the Real Assets Sub-Committee of the Cornell University Endowment, the Board of Directors of the LaGuardia Community College Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jeffrey graduated from Cornell University in 2002.

Vaibhav Gujral

Brice Hafner

Senior Managing Director, Industrial, Crow Holdings Capital

Brice Hafner is Senior Managing Director in the Industrial Group of Crow Holdings Capital, where he is responsible for the oversight of all industrial acquisitions, development, leasing, and dispositions in the Western region of the United States. He currently sits on the CHC Investment Committee.

Julia Haugg

She also spent time as Director of Investor Communications Advisory at the capital advisory firm, Shelter Rock Capital Advisors and spent eight years in private real estate media, including as Co-founder and Editor of the digital media platform PrivcapRE and as Senior Editor and Head of Events at PERE. Before moving to the United States, Zoe was a Political Editor in the Houses of Parliament in the UK.

Sarah Jancot

Senior Investment Manager, Unlisted Real Estate, Global Logistics, NBIM

Sarah Jancot is Senior Investment Manager of Global Logistics Real Estate at NBIM, Norway’s oil fund. NBIM’s unlisted logistics portfolio consists of approximately 135 million square feet across 12 countries. As of Q3 2023, NBIM’s equity investment in private logistics real estate was valued at approximately $11 billion. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Sarah served in transactions roles in Europe, at NBIM and at BNP Paribas, with a primary focus on the office sector. Sarah holds a Master of science in Management from ESSEC Business School, France. Sarah serves on the RICS Americas World Regional Board.

Doyle Kim

Managing Director, Hana Securities

Current position is a Managing Director of Hana Financial Investment (Top Investment Bank in Korean Real Estate Finance industry) as a head of Real Asset Investment Finance Department leading a Real Estate Investment Business in Korean Domestic and Global Overseas since beginning of year 2020. Working experience in Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance as a Real Estate Finance and Investment Manager for 10 years (2010~2019) before Hana. Overseas Investment Team Leader was a last position in Samsung. 2.5 years with Shinhan Securities (IB Securities Firm in Korea) for the Global Real Estate Investment Manager before Samsung. Career started with Hyundai Engineering and Construction for 10 years (1998~2007) in a sector of Overseas Business (7 years including 5 years Hong Kong) and Development Business Manager in Korea. Bachelor's degree from Korea Univ. major in Architecture. Master's Degree from the Univ. of Hong Kong major in Real Estate Finance and Investment.

Jonathan Kivell

Director of Community Investments, Federal Reserve Bank of New York

Jonathan Kivell is the Director of Community Investments in the Outreach and Education group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In this role, he works with financial institutions, government agencies, and for-profit and non-profit organizations on emerging issues in the community development finance field. He also leads the group's Household Financial Well-being team, which conducts outreach, holds convenings, and writes policy papers on challenges faced by low- and moderate-income families and communities.

Prior to joining the bank, he was a Director in the Financial Services Group of Piper Sandler, where he held roles in the Real Estate Investment Banking and Loan Strategies Groups. Before joining Piper Sandler, Kivell worked in sales and credit risk at Commerce Street Capital and Citigroup, respectively.

Kivell serves as a board member of Praxis Housing Initiatives, a non-profit provider of supportive housing for homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families in New York City. He received a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BS cum laude from Cornell University.

Evelyn Lee

Evelyn Lee is Editor for PEI Group’s real estate-focused publication, PERE, overseeing global news coverage for both its digital and print platforms. Based in London, she manages a team of journalists across PEI’s offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

She joined the company in its New York office in July 2011 as a reporter covering the industry in the Americas. She became senior reporter in January 2014 and was promoted to news editor in July 2015. Evelyn relocated to PEI's headquarters office in London in 2018 and was promoted to editor in 2019. Prior to joining PEI in 2011 she covered commercial real estate, economic development and environmental issues at NJBIZ, a New Jersey-focused business publication.

Ed Lerum

Head of Global Logistics Real Estate, Norges Bank Investment Management

Ed is Head of Global Logistics Real Estate at NBIM. He leads NBIM’s unlisted logistics real estate strategy, transactions and asset management. NBIM’s unlisted logistics portfolio consists of approximately 136 million square feet across 12 countries. As of December 31, 2022, NBIM’s net investment value in private logistics real estate was approximately $11.5 billion.

Prior to joining NBIM in 2016, Ed served in investment roles at GLP and IndCor, Blackstone’s first US logistics real estate operating platform. Over his career, Ed has been involved in over $21bn of completed real estate transactions. Ed holds an MSA and BBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Norges Bank Investment Management is the asset management division of Norges Bank, the Norwegian central bank. As manager of the Government Pension Fund Global, its mission is to safeguard and build financial wealth for future generations in Norway.

The fund is invested globally in equity, fixed income, real estate and renewable energy infrastructure. It had investments worth 14.8 trillion kroner, or $1.39 trillion, as of Q3 2023.

The fund owns direct real estate investments worth approximately $30.5 billion, totalling nearly 800 assets across 13 countries.

David Levine

Co-Head of Americas Acquisitions, Blackstone Real Estate

David Levine is Co-Head of Americas Acquisitions for Blackstone Real Estate.

Since joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Levine has been involved in more than $100 billion of real estate investments across several property sectors and has worked on various transactions, including the acquisition of Gramercy Property Trust, Pure Industrial, WPT Industrial REIT, PS Business Parks, BioMed Realty and the creation and growth of Blackstone’s 500+ million square foot industrial platform, Link Logistics.

Mr. Levine graduated from Northwestern University, where he received a BA in Economics. He also serves on the board of Reading Partners New York.

Lee Levy

Co-Head of US Real Estate Credit Investing, Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Lee is a managing director in the Real Estate Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as co-head of US Real Estate Credit Investing. He joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Lee spent seven years at TPG and Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director and a founding member of TPG Real Estate Finance, a carve out of Deutsche Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Special Situations Group business. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he held positions at Centerbridge, Morgan Stanley and LNR Property Corp.

Lee is a member of the executive committee of the Board of Directors of Jewish Community Project Downtown.

Lee earned a BSBA in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2002.

Anthony Lipardis

Principle and Director of Real Assets, Bessemer Trust

Mr. Liparidis is Principal and Director of Real Assets at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Real Assets funds including sourcing, allocating to, and monitoring real assets investments. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy and Strategy Committee, Real Assets Investment Committee, Private Equity Investment Committee, and Sustainable Investing Committee. Anthony earned an M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business, an M.S. from Manhattan College, and a B.S. from Cornell University. He is a CAIA® charterholder.

Rob Little

Head of Real Estate

Mr. Robert (Rob) F. Little, CFA, is the Head of Real Estate - Alternative, Investments for MassMutual, with responsibilities including oversight of direct and indirect equity real estate and commercial mortgage exposures. This includes providing strategic, relative value and credit feedback to our real estate managers and providing credit underwriting oversight for our indirect mortgage exposures through the DPI (Direct Private Investments) program. Additionally, he oversees various sustainability initiatives relating to the real estate-related holdings within MassMutual’s portfolios.

Rob has previously held leadership positions at Barings, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, and Babson Capital; he returned to MassMutual in 2021 after beginning his career with MassMutual’s Investment management Division in 1987.

Jason Longo

Real Estate Americas, Senior Investment Leader, Partners Group

Jason Longo is part of the Private Real Estate Americas business unit, based in New York. He has 23 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at PIMCO as a senior vice president, iStar Financial and AllianceBernstein. He holds a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Lafayette College, USA and an MBA from Columbia Business School, USA. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Dennis Lopez

Chief Executive Officer, QuadReal Property Group

Dennis Lopez joined QuadReal as CEO in June 2017. He is responsible for the leadership of the company and its global investment strategy. His mandate is to create a market leading, global real estate investment firm that delivers strong performance and responsible management to its stakeholders. A seasoned real estate professional, Dennis has an extensive track record of global investments and deep relationships with real estate industry leaders and major institutional investors.

Dennis has been actively involved in real estate for over 30 years and has worked in the Americas, Asia and Europe. He has significant experience in real estate M&A, acquisitions, lending, developments and capital fundraising in both the public and private markets. Prior to joining QuadReal, Dennis was CIO of AXA IM – Real Assets, the fifth largest global real estate investment manager, based in Paris. In his combined roles at QuadReal and AXA, he has approved over $100 billion of acquisitions and loans. Previously, he served as the CEO of SUN Real Estate Group, a private equity firm based in Delhi and Moscow. He was Global Head of Real Estate at Cambridge Place, a London based hedge fund. And he was Managing Director and European Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at JP Morgan in London.

He holds an MBA from the Cornell University Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management in New York, USA. He was also a certified public accountant.

Dan Winters

Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives, GRESB

Dan is responsible for increasing GRESB’s international scope and impact by engaging institutional investors; expanding GRESB participation among private equity firms, multi-national lenders and REITs; establishing industry partnerships; and driving capital market demand for ESG data.

As a representative of GRESB based in the Americas region, Dan covers multiple roles including accelerating market adoption for ESG data; acquiring new GRESB investor members; promoting increased GRESB participation; fulfilling North American speaking engagements; and developing new capital market / product opportunities.

He previously served the U.S. Green Building Council as Senior Fellow for Business Strategy and Finance by providing leadership on a range of topics including green bond underwriting guidelines, asset valuation, lender underwriting, business metrics, and capital market dynamics driving LEED adoption. Additional professional experience includes tenures at Russell Real Estate and CBRE along with participation in several start-up technology companies.
He earned his Masters in Real Estate Finance and Development from Harvard, his MBA from Southern Methodist University, and is an alumni of the University of Wisconsin real estate program. Mr. Winters is a former lecturer at Colvin School of Real Estate at University of Maryland, and current Counselor of Real Estate.

Michelle Zhang

Senior Associate, Portfolio Management, Real Estate Impact Investing, Nuveen

Michelle is a portfolio management senior associate on the Real Estate Impact Investing team at Nuveen Real Estate. She joined the team in July 2021. Her responsibilities include: directing and managing real estate portfolio and property transactions, including acquiring new accounts and developing relationships; assisting asset managers in the preservation and protection of assets through monitoring, operational analysis, and providing recommendations; conducting research and analysis of daily investment activities; and formulating and implementing strategies required to maximize the effectiveness of idle assets. She works closely on impact measurement & management practices and metrics.
Previously, she was an analyst on the Nuveen impact investing private equity team. Key themes of the strategy include private equity investments across the sub-categories of Affordable Housing, Inclusive Growth, and Resource Efficiency, in both developed and emerging markets geographies. She carried out both quantitative and qualitative analyses as part of the due diligence and performance monitoring processes, and also aided in underwriting and operational support. She joined the organization in February 2018.
Michelle graduated with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago.
