Clara is currently serving as Chief Executive of the Impact Management Project: a forum for building global consensus on how to measure and manage impact.

Clara is on secondment from Bridges Fund Management, where she led the firm’s impact strategy throughout the investment cycle and across all fund types. In addition to growing impact through Bridges’ own funds, Clara led the firm’s research and development efforts to promote the growth of the wider sustainable and impact investment sector.

Prior to Bridges, Clara focused her career on investing in sustainable businesses – most recently on the management team of a healthcare chain in India and Acumen portfolio company. Clara previously worked for Acumen’s Capital Markets team where she played a lead role in designing an innovative investment vehicle and later co-led the Acumen energy portfolio. Before Acumen, Clara worked in Colombia, promoting socially responsible investment.

Clara holds a BA (Hons) in Greats from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.

David is a Founding Partner and member of the Investment Committee at ATLAS Infrastructure, based in London. He has over 18 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector spanning both the listed and unlisted sectors with a specialisation in regulated utilities and climate change policy and mitigation.
Prior to developing the ATLAS business, David worked at RARE Infrastructure for three years where he led the firm’s Tailored Portfolio Strategies division. David is also a member of the Global Listed Infrastructure Organisation (GLIO) Research Committee. David previously worked at the Future Fund as an Investment Manager in its Infrastructure group where he was responsible for overseeing the Fund's investment in listed infrastructure as well as its investment in several unlisted infrastructure assets and pooled funds.
David has previously worked for Deutsche Bank and PwC in a range of infrastructure related banking and advisory capacities.

ATLAS Infrastructure is a specialist listed infrastructure manager with offices in Sydney and London. Ginette Borduas joined Meridiam in early 2016 to focus on the conception of Meridiam’s tailored-made sustainable development approach and the implementation of its ESG procedures firm-wide.
Ginette has close to 30 years of experience in resilient infrastructure projects, ESG analysis and follow-up programs, and development of methodological approaches aiming at monitoring and optimizing the sustainability of infrastructures. She has extensive experience working with leading DFIs and IFIs, overseeing the environmental and social approval, and sustainable integration of large-scale infrastructure projects in Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa.
Benefiting from her expertise in a vast array of projects, namely in the sectors of energy generation and transition, mobility, and urban systems such as waste and wastewater management, Ginette leads Meridiam’s ESG and Sustainability team which contributes to delivering resilient and impactful infrastructure for the communities.
Ginette holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban planning from the University of Montreal and a post-graduate diploma in Applied Business Management from McGill University.

Jeff Cohen is an Institutional Product Strategist at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). In his role, Jeff educates and partners with institutional investors and asset owners facilitating dialogue on financially material industry specific ESG topics and metrics for implementation into investment decisions across asset classes. Prior to joining SASB, Jeff consulted private equity and real asset firms on communicating ESG integration and impact outcomes in investment processes to limited partners through reports and marketing collateral. In addition, Jeff was Head of Business Development at Sonen Capital an ESG & Impact dedicated OCIO, where he worked with investors seeking to achieve impact in private markets through various environmental and social themes. Prior to Sonen, Jeff was a Director of Investment Opportunities at Venovate, a Fin-tech platform connecting institutional investors with unique private placement investments, where he conducted due diligence on private equity, real assets, and secondary transactions. Jeff has spent his career working with sophisticated investors at organizations such as Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, and Gerson Lehrman Group. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BBA from the University of Michigan. Jeff is a CAIA charter holder and Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential Holder.

Isabelle COMBAREL is Deputy CEO and Head of Development and ESG at SWEN Capital Partners.
She began her career in 2001 at MAIF, where she spent 10 years as an equity portfolio manager for public and private markets.

In 2012, she joined the unlisted activity of OFI Group (which will become SWEN Capital Partners in 2015) as Investment Director where she implements and develops the entire ESG approach, a true historical commitment of the company. She plays an active role in the promotion, integration and innovation of sustainable finance initiatives in the unlisted sector.

In 2017, she took the lead of the Development and ESG Department, with the scope of Services & Customer Regulations, ESG, Marketing and Communication.

Isabelle is also a member of the board of directors of France Invest Association.

Tomas leads the integration of ESG factors in the C$90 billion+ alternatives portfolios at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). Until December 2018 Chris was the inaugural CEO of the Global Infrastructure Hub, a G20 organisation. The Hub was set up to help countries procure their infrastructure in a more sustainable manner, ensuring that best practise from different countries was made available to all.

Adam Kirkman is Head of ESG at AMP Capital in Sydney, where since 2010 he is responsible for the integration of ESG and responsible investment practices covering A$185 billion in AUM. Adam’s 24 year career in ESG and sustainability includes prior leadership roles in management consulting advising a range of infrastructure and industrial sectors. As Program Manager for Energy and Climate Change at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, he also worked collaboratively with the World Economic Forum, World Bank and International Energy Agency on sustainability programs and initiatives. Adam joined the GRESB Infrastructure Advisory Board in 2015 contributing to the ongoing development of this ESG performance benchmark for infrastructure funds and assets worldwide. He actively contributes to a number of other institutional investor initiatives including the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). John has advised a number of governments, intergovernmental organisations, and businesses on human rights and wider issues of sustainability, development, and international affairs. His most recent book is "The Social License”, published by Palgrave MacMillan in 2014, and he has published widely on issues relating to corporate responsibility, human rights, refugee protection, and human trafficking.

John also sits on the UK Foreign Secretary's Human Rights Advisory Group and has been a Harkness Fellow to the USA. In 2017, he was named one of the 100 most influential people worldwide on the issue of eliminating modern day slavery.

Peter Plaut is an Executive Director at Wimmer Family Office focused on origination, researching and structuring private debt and equity transactions across a broad range of industries including in the aerospace, energy, metals and mining, and real estate sectors. He also has an advisory business AEDS Advisors Ltd specializing in capital solutions to companies pursuing or defending litigation.
Mr. Plaut is consistently recognized as a leader in the industry. Among his many achievements and awards, he was ranked as one of the Top 20 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds during the 2008 financial crisis –a recognition of his ability to manage through crisis and create positive investment opportunities in all environments. Mr. Plaut's three decades of experience cover both the sell-side and buy-side as an analyst, portfolio manager, salesman and banker. Mr. Plaut operates globally sourcing, researching, negotiating and structuring capital markets transactions. He has been a lead banker on many successful capital raises, transactions, and consultative assignments with senior management teams and Boards of Directors. Mr. Plaut has senior level relationships with some of the largest hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and banks in the US, Canada and Europe.
During the late 1990s, while employed at Salomon Brothers, Mr. Plaut served as Rating Advisor to the Republic of Korea and as a result of his work was extended an invitation for Term Membership to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Per Wimmer, CEO of Wimmer Family Office is involved in sustainable work on a global scale. In 2016 he released “The Green Bubble” a book on green energy and sustainability, highlighting that for green energy production to be truly sustainable, it must be coincidentally sustainable.

Jean-Philippe Richaud is Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee at SWEN Capital Partners, a European leader in Private Equity, Debt and Infrastructure for institutional and individuals clients. He plays an active role in promoting investments and innovation in the unlisted industry.

Before joining SWEN Capital Partners, he spent 7 years in the financial department of MACIF as Head of unlisted investments. He also participated in the drafting of the first guide Af2i on the unlisted assets and the launch of the vehicle listed OFI Private Equity Capital.
Before MACIF, he began his professional career in the financial analysis company Proxinvest, independent advice in voting policy. Jean-Philippe holds a DESS in Financial Engineering and a master’s degree in Econometrics from the University of Social Sciences of Toulouse.

Since joining Cube IM, Aurélien has been actively involved in the origination, acquisition and development of several energy and telecom companies as well as in the launch of the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund. Today, he is mostly focused on the development of Cube II’s communication platform, notably spearheading the recent investments in DST telecomunicaçoes and G.Network. Since 2010, Aurélien acts as Cube IM’s ESG Coordinator developing ESG initiatives and organizing ESG developments across the portfolios’ companies. Founded in 2007, Cube Infrastructure Managers is an independent management company, focusing on equity investments in the European infrastructure space addressing the essential infrastructure needs of local public authorities and populations, together with a strong ESG commitment. Susanne is Director, ESG at Denmark’s largest pension fund, ATP. She holds a master’s degree in Finance and has worked within the field of responsible investments for the last 12 years. Currently, the focus is on ESG practices within illiquid assets.

ATP

Valeria joined the business in 2006 and has two decades of relevant experience. Based in London, Valeria leads Equity asset management and is the portfolio manager of the NatWest Group Pension Fund’s unlisted infrastructure equity mandate. She is Chair of the Equity Investment Committee and a member of the firm’s global Executive Committee. She is also the firm’s ESG Champion and, within the Equity Investment Committee, the ESG due diligence lead member.

Valeria is a director on the boards of Phoenix Natural Gas, Australian Registry Investments, Ventus Investments and, previously, also Porterbrook, South East Water and AviAlliance Capital and has been involved in most of the acquisitions, disposals and mergers of the firm over the years.

Prior to joining Hastings, Valeria executed and advised on a large number of transactions at Gleacher Shacklock, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business and Economics (Honours) from the University L.U.I.S.S. Guido Carli in Rome.

Katrina is the Head of Octopus Renewables Fund Management which manages investments in >£3Bn energy assets. She has been with Octopus since early 2011 and delivered hundreds of solar deals as manager of the Renewables Investment team before moving into Portfolio Management in 2015. She is a board member of numerous investment vehicles including Octopus VCTs and institutional investments.

Prior to joining Octopus, Katrina spent 11 years on the senior management team at Solarcentury, a leading solar power company, having previously worked at IBM and an environmental charity.

Katrina was awarded an MBA with distinction from the London Business School in 2008 and has a degree in Mathematical Statistics and Operational Research from Exeter University. She recently completed the INSEAD Women Leadership Programme.

We are an international, non-profit think tank promoting the integration of climate risks in investment strategies and financial regulations, our activity is structure in three main pillars:
Research Activities & Innovation. We carry out the world’s largest research projects on climate goals in financial markets, with our team having been involved in the early stages of nearly all flagship sustainable finance initiatives since 2012. With support from partners such as EIT Climate-KIC, the EU’s main climate innovation initiative, we have devised a range of cutting-edge methodologies and tools (the PACTA model for scenario analysis, the Climate Tech Compass, Asset Resolution – Data provider spin off)
Engagement activities. As an international think tank, we present our research at some of the year’s flagship conferences, most recently the World Economic Forum, COP25, Climate Finance Day, and Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in Person.
Policy work. We have contributed to some of the world’s first sustainable finance policies, including France’s Article 173, the first climate-related financial regulation in Europe, and as a member of the EC High-Level Expert Group (HLEG) on Sustainable Finance. We have also worked with leading supervisors such as EIOPA, the Bank of England, and the California Insurance Department (portfolio analysis, risk management, and stress-testing).

Nik is a Director of Environment and Social Governance at CDC Group, and leads the ESG workstream for the infrastructure sector. Prior to joining CDC Group, he was a consultant for Mott MacDonald and has previously worked for Iberdrola on its operational power generation assets. Nik has spent virtually his entire career in emerging markets in the infrastructure sector advising on how to manage ESG risks and build value. He has worked on a diverse range of investments and projects, including most commercial forms of power generation, transmission and distribution networks and ports and logistics assets.

CDC Group

CDC is an investor with two objectives. i) To support the business growth and economic stability that will enable countries to leave poverty behind and ii) to make a financial return, which we reinvest to improve the lives of millions of people in Africa and South Asia.

Like other Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), we aim to increase capital flows to underdeveloped markets so countries can finance their own way out of poverty. DFIs focus on less-developed or fragile markets and on sectors most important for economic growth.

This focus means DFIs typically take more risks than commercial investors. These can include market risks such as regulatory or political uncertainty, and other risks related to the businesses themselves, such as unproven strategies or inexperienced management teams. However, DFIs are specialist investors, skilled at assessing and mitigating those risks. We often invest for longer periods – a decade or more – and focus on selecting the right management teams, raising environmental, social, and governance standards, and maximising impact.

Cameron leads the ESG integration for APGs ~€20bn Private Markets Infrastructure Portfolio and is a member of the GRESB Infrastructure Advisory Board. He has 13 years’ experience working across infrastructure and real estate with a focus on energy/sustainability, project/corporate governance and strategy. His prior roles were at Arup and Strategy& in the UK, USA, Australia and Germany, but also include minor stints at TransGrid, the United Nations and Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Cameron holds an MBA from University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.

GRESB

GRESB is an investor-led and mission-driven initiative to provide ESG data on real asset investments to investors, managers and the wider industry. Our Assessments provide a consistent framework to measure ESG performance based on self-reported data that is validated, scored and peer benchmarked. This approach allows investors to analyze their portfolios for ESG risks, opportunities and impacts and engage with managers on their performance.
The 2021 real estate benchmark covered more than 1,200 property companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs), funds, and developers. Our coverage for infrastructure includes more than 550 infrastructure funds and assets. Combined, GRESB represents USD 5 trillion in real asset value. Barbara Weber, PhD, Lic., MSc is the Founding Partner of B Capital Partners. She is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Bekk og Strom AS, a company owning and operating hydro power plants in Norway. Further Barbara was a Non-Executive Director on the Board of London Pension Fund Authority (LPFA) from 2017 to July 2021. She was instrumental in setting up an infrastructure investment platform for Swiss pension funds (IST3), for which she also served on the Investment Committee for several years. Barbara has over 20 years of infrastructure and private equity as well as project finance experience gained during several years with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, PolyTechnos and, since 2003, with B Capital Partners. She previously worked for the private sector development group of the World Bank in Washington DC. She is a prolific author and has written four books on infrastructure investing, the latest one being "Infrastructure as an Asset Class. Second Edition" (2016). Barbara wrote her Ph.D in Economics at Harvard University and University of St. Gallen. She holds an MSc in Business & Operations Research from Warwick University and a post-graduate degree in International Relations from Mannheim University.

Simon joined the PRI in June 2018, and leads the organisation’s work on real assets. He works with real assets investors to support their understanding and integration of responsible investment in their investment processes. His most recent work has included projects on developing guidance for real assets investors on implementing the recommendations of the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and looking at the role of investors in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Prior to joining the PRI, Simon worked for over 10 years at Control Risks, where he led a team providing political and social risk advisory support to investors and corporate clients in Latin America. This often involved carrying out pre- or post-transaction due diligence for major investments and operations in the region, as well as assessing clients’ social risk management and governance frameworks and performance.

Simon holds a MSc in Latin American Politics from the University of London (Institute for the Study of the Americas) and a BA in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) from the University of Bristol.

Carlisle White is CIP’s ESG Manager. Mr. White is responsible for developing and managing CIP’s sustainability framework, standards and reporting, and the integration of ESG throughout CIP’s investment process. Before moving to Denmark, Mr. White worked as a lawyer in Australia, where he spent time in both the commercial and energy and resources team at one of South Australia’s most respected commercial law firms. Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Adelaide.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP) is a fund management company focused on energy infrastructure including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, biomass and energy-from-waste, transmission and distribution, and other energy assets like reserve capacity and storage. CIP has approximately 110 employees. CIP and its projects have offices in Copenhagen, New York, Tokyo, London and Utrecht.

CIP manages five funds and has EUR ~7.8bn under management. CI I and CI A have PensionDanmark as founding- and sole investor, while CI II has 19 Danish and international institutional investors and CI III has 42 institutional investors from the Nordics, Continental Europe, the UK, Israel, Asia, Australia, and multi-lateral organizations e.g. EIB. The most recent fund, CI New Markets Fund I, reached its first close in May 2019 with USD 0.7bn in commitments from four cornerstone investors.
