Angelo Acconcia

Mr. Acconcia joined ArcLight in 2022 and has nearly two decades of private equity and energy investing experience. Prior to joining ArcLight, he was a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone, having spent over 17 years in their Private Equity Group and was one of the founding partners of their energy fund, Blackstone Energy Partners. During his time at Blackstone, Mr. Acconcia worked across a diverse set of sectors including chemicals, industrials, packaging, power, technology, telecom and upstream. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Acconcia worked at Morgan Stanley in their Global Energy and M&A group, and at CIBC in Investment Banking in Canada and Hong Kong. Ashli Aslin joined Albourne in 2021 as a Senior Analyst on the Real Assets team. She has 19 years of experience working in institutional investments, both as an allocator and an investment consultant. Ashli is responsible for investment diligence on across real assets, focusing on infrastructure.

Prior to Albourne, Ashli was an Investment Officer with the South Carolina Retirement System working across different portfolio initiatives in credit, private equity, emerging markets, and traditional fixed income. Most recently was responsible for the build-out of the pension’s infrastructure program, where she led the sourcing, portfolio construction, and underwriting process for real assets mandates totaling over $2.0bn, including fund and co-investment opportunities. Ashli also worked as a Senior Analyst at NEPC, LLC, where she helped pension, endowment, and corporate clients with asset allocation and implementation decisions. Perry Babb

Perry Babb has 42 years of organizational development experience, having founded multiple successful companies in business services, construction, energy, marketing, and 3 non-profit corporations, with strategic humanitarian work in a dozen countries. Mr. Babb is president and founder of KeyState Energy and a leading voice in the new energy economy. KeyState Energy is Developer of the ‘Atlantic Coast Clean Hydrogen Corridor’, currently comprised of 2 revolutionary natural gas synthesis and carbon storage projects, ‘KeyState Pennsylvania’ and ‘KeyState Virginia’, each projected to reach commercial operations in 2028 & 2029 respectively. These $2 billion complexes integrate innovative onsite natural gas extraction which avoids 99% of conventional upstream emissions, onsite synthesis of ultra-low-carbon hydrogen by separating 99%+ of carbon from hydrogen in methane and returning the CO2 back deep underground, all with zero-carbon onsite power generation. These facilities will produce some of the world’s lowest carbon, lowest cost hydrogen at large scale. Products vary by site, but include hydrogen for the mobility market, ammonia for industrial processes, and co-products of urea for fertilizer and for diesel exhaust treatment.

Heidi Boyd

Heidi Boyd is a Senior Managing Director in the Infrastructure Group, where she focuses primarily on investments in utilities and transportation sectors. Since joining Blackstone in 2018, Ms. Boyd has been involved in the execution of Blackstone investments, including Carrix and FirstEnergy, and serves on the Board of Directors of Carrix.

Don Dimitrievich is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Energy Infrastructure Credit at Nuveen. Jeremy Ebie

Dr. Tobias Engelmeier is co-founder and CEO of VIDA. He has successfully built impact-focused businesses in infrastructure investment in Asia, Europe and Africa. Tobias earlier worked at BCG, holds a PhD in Political Science and has written two books. He is a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader and was recently featured as one of Business Insider’s 30 global climate leaders. He lives in Munich, Germany.

Gisele Everett

Gisele Everett is a Senior Managing Director and Head of OMERS Infrastructure Americas, a platform managing C$15 billion in AUM for OMERS and third parties through a 33-person team based in New York and Toronto.

Since joining OMERS in 2019 and taking leadership of the Americas region in February 2021, Gisele has been instrumental in shaping OMERS Infrastructure Americas’ strategy, portfolio construction, portfolio company value creation, team formation, and talent development. Under her leadership, OMERS Infrastructure Americas completed new acquisitions, company sales, and syndications totaling C$4.4 billion in equity value over the past two years, including acquisitions of stakes in Direct Chassis Link Inc. (logistics, US), Navisun (distributed renewable generation, US), and Beanfield Metronet (fiber, Canada), while substantially exceeding return targets.

Prior to joining OMERS, Gisele spent over 20 years on the buy-side, primarily on the transactions side with roles at CVC International (private equity), Citi Sustainable Development Investments (growth equity), and Deutsche Asset Management (growth equity, where she also led the platform). Gisele also spent three years on the portfolio operations side at Anchorage Capital and held Board Director positions in over 15 companies covering multiple geographies and sectors.

Gisele has a BBA (finance major) from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil and an MBA (finance major) from Cornell University. She speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Luke Fernandes joined Swiss Re Asset Management in January 2022 to build out the firm's investment platform and team focused on direct origination of investment grade/sub investment grade infrastructure debt in North America, Latin America, and Australia. Prior to Swiss Re, he spent 8 years at Legal and General Investment Management America where he was a founding member of the US Private Credit platform focused on investment grade infrastructure debt, corporate private placements, and structure credit. Luke also spent 3 years on the Liability Driven Investment Solutions team constructing asset liability matching investment portfolios for corporate defined benefit pension plans. Luke began his career at Citigroup where he was on the Project Finance and Infrastructure team focused on structuring project finance loans and/or capital market bond solutions for Sponsors.

Florestan Ferroux

Senior Director, Infrastructure Financing, CDPQ Fixed Income Inc.

Florestan Ferroux is Senior Director, Infrastructure Financing, at CDPQ. In this role, he ensures the establishment of strategic partnerships for the Infrastructure Financing portfolio. He also participates in the development and monitoring of the infrastructure financing strategy and portfolio.

Mr. Ferroux has nearly 15 years of experience in infrastructure structuring and financing. He has held several positions at CDPQ, most recently as Director, Transactions and Investments, at the CDPQ Infra subsidiary, where he contributed to the development of new sustainable mobility projects. Prior to joining CDPQ, he was Vice-President, Infrastructure Consulting, at EY, where he advised public authorities and private sector clients on the structure and financing of public-private partnerships.

Mr. Ferroux holds a CFA designation and a bachelor's degree in accounting from HEC Montréal.

Xenia Garofalo

Partner, Eversheds Sutherland

Xenia Garofalo, Partner in the Tax Practice group of Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP, counsels clients on federal income taxation with a focus on providing tax and structuring advice for institutional and global investors, fund sponsors and multinational companies, including with respect to the preparation and negotiation of fund disclosure, organizational documents and side letter agreements. She also regularly advises clients on US tax matters related to structuring, operation, investment activities and transactions. Previously, Surinder was Managing Director of American Electric Power’s (AEP) European operations. AEP’s European presence consisted of 4,400MW of power generation capacity in the UK, regulated electricity networks and commodity trading activities.

Surinder holds a Masters degree in Engineering, Economics & Management from St John’s College, University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England ＆ Wales.

Mark White

Mark White is the Head of Real Assets and senior portfolio analyst for Real Asset strategies at Albourne Partners and is responsible for overseeing the due diligence and portfolio construction for Albourne’s RA clients. He derives his experience in Real Assets from two distinct career paths, the first in resource management and the second a career in institutional finance. With background in forestry and mining Mark began his career in the private and government sectors. Prior to that, Kemi was part of the founding team of Mubadala Infrastructure Partners and was actively involved in sourcing, execution and portfolio management of investments and served on various boards. As an investment director, she led the fund’s entry into the Southeast Asia market.

Kemi started her infrastructure career as an analyst in the global energy investment banking group of Credit Suisse in New York where she worked on a number of complex transactions.

Kemi graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University with a BBA in Accounting and Information Technology. She was awarded the 2005 Wall Street Journal Leadership Award. Niraj Agarwal

Head of Real Assets, New Jersey Division of Investment

Niraj Agarwal is the Head of Real Assets at the c. $100 billion New Jersey Division of Investment and also serves on the pension fund’s Asset Allocation committee. Niraj runs investment programs focused on private equity across infrastructure, real estate, natural resources, agriculture and other real assets, and invests via funds, co-investments and programmatic separate accounts. He serves on a number of Boards and is responsible for launching investments into Infrastructure and Energy Transition/Renewables for the pension which account for over $1.3 billion of new capital deployment. Prior to NJ, Niraj was a Portfolio Manager in the Real Assets team at the c. $500 billion CalPERS pension, where he built the infrastructure portfolio from c. $2 billion to c. $6 billion via directs, funds, co-investments and separate accounts, and also built the renewables investment program to c. 2GW of operating wind and solar. Prior to CalPERS, Niraj was an investment banker in NY where he closed over $13 billion of transactions across sectors.

The New Jersey Division of Investment is the State’s public pension fund serving c. 800,000 active and retired pensions in seven pension systems, and is one of the largest in the U.S. With c. $100 billion in AUM, the Division invests across a wide range of public and private asset classes.

Ross Alexander

Senior Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure/Real Assets, Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation

Ross Alexander, CAIA, is a Senior Portfolio Manager at APFC leading the fund’s Private Income team. Ross has responsibility for the infrastructure, private credit, and real assets investing activities at APFC, Alaska’s $78 billion sovereign wealth fund. Prior to joining APFC, Ross worked on the real assets portfolio at the Alaska Retirement Management Board. Ross lives in Juneau, AK, with his wife and three daughters where he spends his free time skiing, biking, and enjoying the Alaskan wilderness.

The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation (APFC) was created by the Alaska Legislature in 1980 as a quasi-independent state entity tasked with the important mission of prudently investing and managing the assets of the Alaska Permanent Fund. Laurie Mahon

Former Vice-Chair, US Investment Banking, Global Investment Banking, CIBC Capital Markets

Laurie Mahon served as Vice Chair of CIBC’s Global Investment Banking business until May of this year, a role she assumed after having led the Global Infrastructure and Power team since August 2013. She has spent her entire professional life in the infrastructure space, having had a multifaceted career as a banker, public sector manager, infrastructure executive, consultant, journalist and developer focusing on the development and financing of large infrastructure projects around the globe.

Before joining CIBC Capital Markets, Ms. Mahon was a senior expert in McKinsey’s infrastructure practice. Previously, she spent 12 years as an independent advisor, helping numerous public and private entities develop transportation projects in the U.S., Latin America, China and the U.K. From 1984 until 1999, she worked on Wall Street as an investment banker, focusing on the infrastructure markets in both the U.S. and emerging markets. She started her banking career as a municipal banker.

Prior to her banking career, Ms. Mahon spent five years at New Jersey Transit, where she held various positions in planning and policy until becoming deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Mahon began her professional career as a journalist with The Boston Globe and The Bergen Record.

She is a member of the North American Advisory Board of Transurban Inc., a global developer and operator of toll facilities, serves as a trustee for Public Media New Jersey Inc., which operates NJ PBS, and served as a director for Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Inc., a NASDAQ company which constructs wind, solar and rail projects, until its sale last year.

Ms. Mahon holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University, and a B.S. summa cum laude in journalism from Boston University.

Alexander Poll

Infrastructure Equity Americas, MEAG – Munich Re

Dr. Poll is responsible for MEAG/MunichRe’s Infrastructure Equity investment business in the Americas.

He joined MEAG in 2013, relocating to New York in 2015 to establish MEAG’s local presence in the Infrastructure Equity space in the US. Dr. Poll started his career as a Project Finance Manager at Fortis Bank and German utility E.ON, before joining Balfour Beatty Capital and later Siemens Project Ventures as an Investment Director.

Dr. Poll studied law in Heidelberg and Pau/France, received his master’s degree from Stellenbosch University, and obtained his PhD at the University of Vienna.

He has been exercising board functions in Germany, the UK, Poland, and Israel, and currently represents MunichRe on the boards of Interpark, SouthWest Water Company, and Long Beach Container Terminal.
