UN Global Compact Policy
PEI Media has joined 14,000+ companies in the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the UN Global Compact.
We are committed to aligning strategies and operations with the ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and take actions to advance broader societal goals, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
PEI Media has made great progress in recent years, investing in our people, products, and processes, and growing our business sustainably. The UN Global Compact allows us to recognise publicly the benefits of that work in an accredited framework. We already have clear policies around modern slavery, within PEI Media and our supply chain, anti-bribery and corruption, EDI initiatives, and an authentic ethos within the business to better our communities and the environment. In addition, we are committed to growing our global ESG events portfolio, which already encompasses 10 events and reaches (20,000?) attendees annually.
In the way we run our business, our publishing and our membership-driven events, our primary contributions to the SDGs are supporting quality education (SDG 4) and creating partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).
We also make strong secondary contributions with:
- Supporting gender equality (SDG 5)
- Decent work and economic growth (SDG 8)
- Industry innovations and infrastructure (SDG 9)
- Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12)
- Climate action (SDG 13)
Public and private capital has the power to transform companies responsibly and sustainably and PEI Media, as a progressive business, can and does use its position to ensure its customers are aligned with the imperatives underpinning the SDGs.
